750 ml C&C. Batch 003*2. Reviewed on 6/6/11. Enjoyed with my wife on our 5th Anniversary.
Deep, red brown body, nearing copper. Very scant, tan head.
Loads of balsamic vinegar on the nose. Sour cherries, oak and a slight band aid smell. This has definitely gotten a little funkier with age.
Deep and alluring cabernet grape flavors, followed by a whopping vinegar sourness. Fleshy, tart cherry flavors. Very active body, with a champagne like effervescence.
The sour components of this have stepped up with some age on it, but it is still a fantastic beer.
