Pours a dark rich, deep red, almost brown. Small tan head that dissipates quickly.

Smell is of dark cherry, currants, some funk, metals, blackberry, earth.

Taste begins with an almost sweet cherry flavor that quickly sours. Nice fruitiness to this beer as well as some slight terroir as wine people would say. Mid-palate returns to a big dark cherry/ black currant flavor that lingers on to finish nice and clean with a sour spike right at the end that puckers the lips and dries the tongue.

Mouthfeel is clean and crisp. Fairly dry.

Overall a very good beer. Not my first sour, but the first sour I can say I have truly enjoyed.

The Cabernet Sauvignon barrels impart such a delicious flavor into this dark sour. Perfect level of tart.
