2013 bottle, thanks scot

The beer pours a dull blood orange/pink with a thin, foamy white head and touch of sediment. The nose is subtle tart raspberry with deep funk and touch of alcohol. The taste is definitely tart raspberries in the forefront with an acidic funkiness that really ramps up the fruit's juiciness. The mouthfeel is light bodied (but not watery), effervescent, tart/acidic, and definitely drinkable. This is a lighter bodied, subtle raspberry framb with a big funk presence and balanced acidity...just wish it wasn't so hard to get!

Bottle pour at Woodshop 8 held at The Hermosillo in Los Angeles, CA.

2013 vintage.

Pours a hazy light red with a foamy reddish-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with malt, raspberry, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour and tart raspberry flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty but has a slightly better sour raspberry quality in the aroma.
