Big thanks to daysinthewake for getting this growler out to me. Served in a Russian River TION goblet. Pours a clear straw-golden color with a nice white head. The nose has a touch of light pilsner malt plus a really nice bouquet of floral and slightly-spice hops. Some perfume. Light fruity notes. Really excellent. Very light. Flavor is likewise extremely well integrated and light on the palate. Extremely easy to drink. Light body and a dry finish. Excellent. Would love to have this year round.

Growler split with friends.

A: Pours a slightly hazy pale with a thick bone white head. Head slowly faded into a soft collar and film leaving some streaky patches of lace.
S: Spicy and herbal notes of dry grains and leafy, citrusy hops. Very light smelling and crisp.
T: Super clean and grainy. Crisp notes of pale malts, Belgian yeast, and citrus are light but work well together. Tastes like a blonde ale with a Belgian twist.
M: Light body, thin but crisp mouthfeel, easy carbonation. Refreshing.
O: Probably the lightest saision I’ve had, but I liked it. Very easy to drink and refreshing. Nothing super complicated, but if they were going for a crisp low alcohol Belgian blonde, they hit the mark.

On-tap at the brewery in Santa Rosa.

Pours a light yellow hue, with solid haze leaving the beer rather translucent. Light body, with only a ring of clear white foam around it. Minimal lace. Decent, but not spectacular.

Nose is excellent, however. Round Belgian tones, with a genuine hint of funk and some sweet acidity that gives hints of balsamic vinegar. It's sweet, full and oaky, with a directness of acidity that's very pleasant and very welcome in a saison, in my opinion.

Light crisp entry on the palate, but a lot blander than I expected. There's a rounded smoothness through the centre, and a touch of funk, but not a lot of complexity. Finish is funky, meaty and a little coarse, with gritty yeast bringing up the rear.

Feel is light, but liquid and smooth.

It's not bad all up, but I feel like it could have delivered more. The harshness on the back palate builds, and the overall character gets skewed from what it feels like it wants to be. There are some nice motifs here, and a lot of interest to be had. It just feels a bit wayward.

A: Hazy straw gold with some bubbles. Mostly opaque. Light white head. Great lacing.

S: Heavy Belgian yeast. Slight banana. Musty and meh.

T: A disappointing saison. Light, yeasty, and thin. Dry on the end taste. Still, it's not unpleasant. Strange fruit, slight sourness.

M: Excellent, carbonated, spicy, compelling. Best part of the beer.

O: decent. Not recommended. Mediocre saison.

Shared by Thorpe, served in a Russian River -tion glass. Thanks. Beer is dark yellow and clear with almost no head, some lacing, nice carbonation and retention.

Aroma is bready, floral and yeasty.

Beer is medium in body and sweet on the palate, the finish is fine it is a little boring but a good saison. I'd have it again in the brewpub on draft if that is ever possible.

Tried this one at the brewery in Santa Rosa. pours very light and clear golden colored, with a small white head. Aroma includes pears, spice, honey, hay, apples. The flavor for me comes off very much like Witbier. Light pears and spice, subtle hay and grass, honey sweetness in the background, a bit of yeast funk. Light bodied with medium carbonation that is pretty refreshing overall. Solid enough to have again.

A: Pours a hazy straw yellow with a foamy white head.

S: Funky Belgian yeast, cardamom, nutmeg, lemon and citrus peel.

T: More funky Belgian yeast, more cardamom, more nutmeg, lemon, orange peel. Basically the same as the nose.

M: Medium bodied and smoothish.

O: Not the best saison out there, nor is it the best Belgian style ale from RR, but it's pretty good. Worth a try if you can find it.

A-

At the source. Served a fully hazed dull yellow straw, little pure white head remained a ring for the duration, little lacing.

Aroma is strong and expressive with dueling fragrant yeast and hops. Thought I was smelling brett, I asked, no to my surprise.

Taste too is strong, not a quiet subtlety. Citrus, minor pine, earthy. Minor sharp dry twang begins the aftertaste which is a mild citric bitter, fades rapidly. Thin lively mouthfeel. Warms well.

Crisp, sharp, refreshing. Excellent summer afternoon brew.
cheers

Shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike.

The beer is transparent and golden yellow with a white head. The aroma offers floral scents, yeast, malt, citrus, hops, light spice. Dank hops and floral notes take center stage. Light in body with moderate carbonation and lingering citrus. Refreshing and easy drinking. Another solid beer from Russian River.
