On tap at the source. Pours a standard looking pale ale, golden in color, soft 3/5" white head on it. Good clarity running through it, plenty of carbonation evident just from looking at it.

Aroma, hits the simcoe without any interruptions or distractions. Is this 100% simcoe? Wouldn't doubt you if you said it was, thats what the aroma is all over this beer.

Taste, easy drinking, high hopes, strong, but not overly extreme bitterness that washes away in the mouthfeel quickly. Mild grain bill. Stays out of the way, dry, light. Its plenty herbal and zesty, there's so much Simcoe all over this. Far from complex, its a very drinkable, very hoppy pale ale.

Its not going to bump pte, blind pig, row 2, hopfather from their upper echelon of awesome products, but this is certainly better than happy hops or seagal select. A good lighter yet still hoppy option.

On tap at the RR Brewpub.

A: golden amber; excellent clarityr. Somewhat weak head still leaves some lacing.

Aroma: mild for style -- more like an APA; fruity and floral with hints of herbs and faint spices. Some light malts evident.

Flavor: some light malts and a very nice mix of hops. Excellent lingering aftertaste. Clean.

FeeL; smooth; light body and light for style; good medium carbonation.

O: excellent and I preferred this to the high rated Blind Pig that preceded it: a matter of perference in hop loads.

On tap at the brewery. 2014 version, 6.4% ABV.

A light copper with a dense, white head that has excellent retention and nice lacing, this looks great. The nose is wonderful. Bright and pungently hoppy with pine and citrus, this beer has minimal malt character. Bright tangerines, navel oranges and mild grapefruit are present. No hop grassiness. The palate is similar, opening with a big, pungent hop bite, moderately bitter and with plenty of flavor. Citrus and pine dominate the mid palate. Drying and resiny on the finish, this beer has an exceptionally clean hop character, loaded with oils and with no grassy flavors. Awesome stuff, I actually preferred this over fresh Hopfather.

Nonic pint glass, on-tap at the brewpub.

Pours a clear golden color with a thin off-white head that faded into a thin collar leaving tons of freshly hopped lace down the glass. Scents/flavors of piney, herbal, green, leafy, and faint cat piss hops. Pretty strong fresh hop punch for a pale ale. There is a hint of bready malt in the finish, and I get herbal notes and a hint of lemon citrus in the aftertaste. Medium-light body, moderate carbonation, smooth and boarderline sessionable. Super smooth, easy, and flavorful. Really really good. Would drink often.

Caramel tan color.
Aroma is grassy and a touch of pine, some dried grass.
The taste has a malty caramel note that's dialed back, with a piney hop flourish.
