A 12 oz bottle picked up at Total Wine
A - Deep amber golden, a little bit of clarity and lace.
S - Belgian yeast and Rum! Perfect mix. Smells perfect
T - Take an incredible Tripel, and age it in Rum Barrels = perfection. Sweet and slightly boozy, but well balanced and smooth
M - Medium bodied and well carbonated
O - An incredible beer. Definitely go pick up a 4 pack or multiple. This won't last on the shelves for long

Poured into tulip from a bottle dated 4/17/14. So was drank 4 days from bottling.
Pours a nice golden straw color. Crystal clear with a one finger pure white head that quickly dissipates which is expected from this ABV.
Smell is quite typical of your standard tripel with esters and such but the barrel adding charred oak, burnt sugar and some alcohol.
Taste follows the aroma for the most part, a nice malty sweetness. With banana and some pepper yeast esters. A fairly strong oak presence with vanilla and a nice amount of molasses (from the rum barrel no doubt) improving as it warms.
Mouthfeel is a medium body with a good carbonation level (I find many triples over carbed for my liking) But you can tell its a bigger beer with the booze overpowering some of the subtler rum barrel notes that I'm itching to find.
Overall I'm quite pleased with this latest offering in the brick mason series. Red brick have came along way in the last few years in my opinion, and have enjoyed what they have done with their barrel program and look forward to what they offer in the future.

appearance: Darker than Tripel's i've had. More honey colored than golden. Head not a big and creamy as usual, maybe due to the barrel treatment?
smell: very nice. The yeasty, spicy Tripel thing is there but the vanilla, oak from the rum barrel treatment is something special.
taste: Much like the nose, not quite as tasty as the nose promises. there is a bit of sourness in the finish that doesn't quite fit with the richness of the other flavors imo. Still very nice though.
overall: Very nice, unexpectedly good brew.

Red Brick 3-Bagger has a thin, white head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, lots of bubble streams and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of faint rum, sweet malts and sugar, and light fruit. Taste is of strong rum, vanilla, sugar, white bread, and light fruit, with a damped-down hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Red Brick 3-Bagger finishes semi-wet and sip-able.

Thanks to hurleymanvw for this extra!
12oz bottle sealed with pressure cap.
poured into HF wine stem.
Appearance: glowing yellow/orange bodied beer with a thick cap of white head that quickly drops down to a thick ring around the glass. Spotty lace on the glass.
Smell: very forward with fruity esters and the rum barrel, this combonation of aromoas give off a stale malty smell. Belgian candied sugar, brown sugar, molasses, and rotting plums. It smells fairly boozey too. This beer is very sweet.
Taste: Lots of rum and oak upfront that tastes boozey. Then the banana and clove combo with belgian candied sugar. Oak and vanilla with more spicyness from the rum. Really fruity and malty sweet. Loads of fruity esters.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. The mouthfeel is honestly my favorite part of this beer and its actually extremely well done. Delicate and light feel to this beer which helps to lighten up all the heavy flavors and aromoas found in the beer.
Overall: Too sweet for my liking. The rum taked over the tripel a little too much and makes it overly sweet. The mouthfeel was really awesome though. I think this beer might have been better off if it was aged in red or white wine barrel. I wanted more tripel and less rum barrel. Its an average beer with a phenominal mouthfeel.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter, the beer is a bright, hazy, orange-copper coloring with a sparse, uneven, bright white wisp of head. Aromas of rich tropical fruits, spicy vanilla, bready notes, and booze. Very fruity and spiced, like a big chunk of fruitcake. Flavors are spiced forward, with kicks of cinnamon and nutmeg, clove, and pepper, with woody notes, rich vanilla, booze, and a tropical fruit blend of pineapple, melon, and mango. Smooth and mid-bodied, with a dry, crisp edge. Tangy sweet and steadily spiced aftertaste, again like fruitcake. The finish is smooth, slightly boozy, and spiced. Big brew.
