Bought a six pack of this to drink after work not for substance really, but this actually had some subtle nuances.Poured a clear light blond with a large white crown atop that settled pretty slowly, aromas are toasty with a hint of citrus...almost lager-like.Flavors are firmly toasty with light caramel sweetness,a light herbal/citric smack comes thru in the finish.Suprisingly full bodied and it went down easy, couldnt ask for much for from the style.

A - Pale yellow, low carbonation, small head that fades quickly.

S - A little grassy malt, not much else.

T - Grainy malt flavor with a bit of sweetness. Really kind of tastes like corn pops to me.

M - Thin and watery, which makes it one part refreshing and one part boring.

D - If you are hot and thirsty and would rather than a watery beer than a water, this is it.

12oz brown bottle with no freshness date.

Clarity and good lacing is there. Taffy-like fruitiness, rough grain and some nutty yeast in the nose. Grainy flavor rides quick with the sharpness of the hop bitterness. Clean palate for the most part aside from the husky grain undertones. Hops are a little woody and herbal. Crusty bread and nutty yeast in the drying end.

Not half bad, a bit middle of the road though true to style. I could see knocking a few of these back while doing some bar sports; pool, dart, etc.

Picked up in Atlanta earlier this year.

This was a gusher, with about a quarter of the beer flying out and onto the table when it was opened. After getting the beer poured into the glass, the beer poured a hazy yellow color with a huge white head.

The beer smells of wheat malt, with a little bit of lemon. The taste follows the smell, with a slight hop bitterness at the end.

Even with the ridiculous amount of carbonation, this was a good beer. Not the best, but nothing to be disappointed about.

American blonde ale....i guess thats what we call cream ales now days!...

a golden very thin appearance...with very little head....and splotchy carbonation...

smells like the ale version of the American Lager...very light nose...and almost a creamy smell...

taste is smooth...so smooth...with the lightest touch of creamy....

the feel is nice....creamy feel....and nice carbonation...

the drink ability is awesome!....great session beer...that goes down easy...nothing special...but it does have a great taste to sit down and drink a sixer of this

I went to the brewery itself to try this one out.

The color was actually a little bit darker than i would expect from a blonde. Looked delicious though.

Couldn't get much scent.

The taste was very very good. Maybe the best blonde I have had.

I had 2 of these and would definately have more.

A nice little hoppy blonde, with sessionable ABV. Pours with some foam. The malt was in the aroma, and the pleasant surprise was in the hoppiness. Smooth and average mouthfeel. Average carbonation feels like more.On the drying side in the aftertaste.

12oz bottle

A- Pours a pale golden yellow with a white head that leaves a good amount of lacing around the glass.

S- The aroma is grainy malt and hay with just a touch of hops.

T- The taste starts out with some grain and finishes with a quick bite from the hops. Not bad, it's got a good amount of flavor for a Blonde Ale.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied with a good amount of carbonation.

D- This would be a great session ale. It is light bodied and easily consumed with a nice amount of flavor. This beer would be a fine tailgating beer! Recommended!

Pours a hazy pale straw yellow with a voluminous white head and minimal/no lacing. Nose is wheaty with a hint of citrus. Taste follows suit - wheat, lemon/citrus. Thin bodied and generous carbonation. Not an overly complicated beer, but generally enjoyable. Fairly drinkable, but the high carbonation could start to take a toll.

Poured into a pint glass... Straw-yellow color, almost transparent with some cloudiness to it. A thin white head that a minutes later only barely covered the surface.

The nose has a slight honey and dry hay smell. Not pronounced or particularly appealing.

The carbonation attacks the tongue.. but quickly lets up, still moderate throughout. The body is light. The taste is lacking taste. There is a slight malty flavor at first, quickly followed by an astringent bitterness. Not horrible, but...

Knowing that Blonds are not the most flavorful beers, this one was still a let down. Too carbonated and no identifying profile.

Hits the glass VERY pale yellow, with a big fluffy white three finger head that really holds on. (Mmmm....marshmallow fluff...D'OH!) SLIGHT haze there...

The smell is light, spicy, and a bit yeasty. There's a little lemon there.

Imagine a creamier BMC. Therein lies the flavour. It's a little more complex and spicier, but still has that basic flavour.

Mouthfeel is rather dry, with a healthy but not overbearing carbonation. Liquid is below medium.

Nice and drinkable, but not complex or demanding. It'd be a good session beer, if you weren't out for something really captivating.

Be well

I'm not sure why the ABV is reported as being 5.7, unless it's been changed. The bottle I purchased today (1/17/13) is marked 4.6. That's a significant difference, and should be noted by those who are reviewing current bottles.

This is my first review here, and was prompted by a desire to correct the ABV amount. This beer is innocuous and forgettable. Light-bodied, light-flavored, and if served cold would be even more lacking in flavor. I have mine at roughly 65 F. I thought at first it would be a good summer afternoon cookout beer, but now that I'm almost finished with it, I would instead say avoid and look elsewhere. There are far more satisfyingly "gluggable" beers for such occasions.

Pours a clear deep straw into a pint glass from a 12 oz. bottle. Offers a fleeting head and minimal lacing.

Nose is light and somewhat metallic in nature, rather thin.

Taste improves a bit but never gets going. Touch of bready texture but otherwise rather thin and flat. Carbonation settles out too quickly to a flat cider like offering. There's enough carbonation to lift the feel a bit but not make me seek another. Unimpressive, at best, and with no distinctive flavors.

From notes.

Presentation: Poured from a brown bottle into a standard pint glass. Label depicts a 50's era blonde holding a tray with beer on it. Box says consume by 9/1/09.

Appearance: Pours with just over 3 fingers of nearly pure white head. This settles to a pillowy foam cap, leaving behind nearly complete lacing coverage. Beer itself is pale yellow with a slight haze. No sediment.

Smell: Slightly bitter smell with hints of lemon.

Taste: Mild malt with wheat twang. Mild bitterness in the middle. Bitterness lingers well with hints of lemon and floral. Bitterness mellows as the beer warms.

Mouthfeel: Average carbonation. Body is good.

Drinkability: A strange mix of attributes. Looks and feels like a hefe with the huge head, wheat twang, and citrus notes. However, strong bitterness detracts. Maybe an American wheat?
