Brown 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. No freshness date on the bottle.
Golden, clear and a really big, rocky, white head. Lots of lace.
The aroma is grainy with a hint of pear. The graininess is not like a light malt, but more like fresh hulled barley.
The flavor also has the same graininess that's in the nose, but there is also plenty more here. There is a nuttiness from the yeast and the hops are both earthy and herbal. The beer has a great medium body and the level of carbonation not only creates that great looking head but also tickles the tongue and brings out the flavors. Overall this is on the plus side of average for both the style and beers in general.
