Okay, I may have to re-review this due to the fact that I had a great DIPA prior. Poured into a pint glass from a bottle as pictured.
A: Nice copper-golden color. Clear with a fairly decent, fine white head that falls quickly to a thin film with moderate lacing.
S: Wow! Not so great. I'm almost afraid to taste due to the slightly spoiled spelling grain that is prominent on the nose. The smell isn't nearly as impressive as the looks. The beer has almost a metallic, spoiled earthy grain aroma. Some slight maltiness.
T&M: The taste is same as the nose. Slightly better due to the malty smoothness. Almost no hops. Slight citrus and lots of earthiness, not sure if it is hops or grains, but probably grains. Smooth mouthfeel, but the overall flavor is lacking tons. Fairly thin with only a solid malt backbone.
I only bought this because the rep was hanging out next to a stack of six packs, touting its quality and a 'free' pint glass that had a nice cool double print of their emblem. The beer is really as bad or worse than the 'special brews' that "Magic Hat" try to pawn off as 'original'. Very Scary. Not so sure that I'll be trying this again unless it is on-tap, fresh, and I can taste before putting down some coin.

A-Light brown color with a slight haze and an off white head that faded and leave a spotted lace
S-roasted malt with a bready aroma that has a citrus like aroma also
T-light roast and light hop taste that stays with you the whole way
M-medium carbonation and medium body
O-this was better than I expected. The look and the smell had my worried but the taste was very refreshing, smooth and crisp
