Blech. Bad beer. Had it because it was a hot day, I was thirsty and I thought this would be a decent quenching beer. It's not even that. Pours a very pale yellow. No head to speak of, no lace whatsoever. Smells of rice, pale malts, and lake Ontario water. Not good. Taste is terrible. This stale sweetness, awful taste that ends sour. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. Pretty much undrinkable. It didn't even quench my thirst. Not much to write about it. It's just, simply put, a very bad beer.
EDIT
I just had this beer ice cold. So ice cold, in fact, that chunks of ice were floating in the glass. It's drinkable swill.

A - Pale golden yellow with a half-finger head that dissipated to a light foam.

S - Weak. All I can smell is a hint of cereal grain and a slightly sour smell. After a few tries I got a hint of skunk.

T - Overly sweet and slightly metallic with a hint of grain. Again, a grainy and bland aftertaste with a touch of alcohol. The burp had more taste than the gulp.

M - Left my mouth feeling slightly dirty. It didn't finish clean, instead leaving a sickening foamy feeling lining my mouth.

D - If I saw this in a cooler in a party, I might throw myself on the grenade and drink it so someone else doesn't have to. It's not the worst beer I've ever had, and part of me wants to find something to like about it, but I wouldn't buy it again. One and done, folks. Buy it, talk some smack about it, then chug it and go grab a good beer.

My first tick from Vietnam.

Pale yellow with decent clarity. The thin and fizzy head disappeared as quickly as it came.

Tons of green apple on the nose, along with cabbage and buttered Wonder Bread. Smells like a hobo's dinner.

Palate is similar, offensive amounts of green apple met by milder but no less offensive amounts of buttery diacetyl and cabbage-like DMS. Some pale malt and filmy rice sweetness appear in the slick finish. Pretty horrid.

Asian beers don't seem to work very well outside of Asia .... this one smells rather disgusting (somewhere between a lacquer factory and smelly feet) .... and tastes like some artificially flavoured herbal tea .... honestly, no use to import it all the long way ....

330ml bottle served in a Weizen glass.

A: Pours a pale yellow crystal color forming a ridiculous white bubbled head. Retention is ridiculous and no lacings are left

S: Horrible smell of rice and corn. Flowery hops trying to give it some appeal... useless

T: Terrible as the nose. Sweet grains upfront. Strong notes of rice and corn. Slightly hoppy bitter end

M: Light body. Medium to high carbonation. Adjunct malts faint hoppy bitter aftertaste

O: One of the worst things I've ever drunk

A rather plain-Jane beer. Gold pour with a short white head settling to a film, gives up reasonable lace.

Overall somewhat more harsh than it needs to be. Metalic nose and aftertaste, lingering unpleasant bitterness. Actually smells a bit like malt liquor.

Unremarkable, slightly unpleasant in some ways. Pass on it.

355mL bottle with no apparent freshness date (though a code on the foil could be interpreted as a date of some kind) poured into a pint glass.

Body is clear yellow, lots of carbonation and a few floaties. Head is generous at first pour, but quickly settles to a thin ring. Retention's good, better than many in the style.

Aroma is a little sugary, maybe some hops in there. Really mild, almost nothing there.

Taste is watery, tangy apple juice.

Mouthfeel is light and bubbly. Par for the course here.

I'm not choking on this, but I'm far from enjoying it either. Maybe if I was in Saigon, chowing down on some cha gio I'd go for this, but there are too many AALs that taste better to waste my money and palate on this stuff.

Picked up a bottle of this at Austin Liquors.

A - Poured into a Duvel tulip a crystal clear golden adjunct larger pour with a fizzy one finger head that fades at the typical quick rate to leave no head at all.

S - Awfully sweet, lots of malt sweetness. Getting some super light grassy hops but thats it. Too sweet smelling.

T - Taste is screwed too. Way too sweet. More sweet malts and I guess sweet apples too like others have said. No hops, no yeast, just sweet. eh.

M - Nice carbonation cant help the thin, watery mouthfeel.

O - Overall, meh. Save your money. Atleast I get to check off another country.

Bottle at a food stall in Ha Tien. Served in a plastic mug with tons of ice. From notes.

A - Poured an apple juice colour with mild carbonation and a one finger white head that went fast. No lace or retention.

S - Lot's of corn. Nothing else really.

T - More corn, honey, sweet grain. Big adjuncty corn flavour. Typical macro adjunct yawnfest.

M - Mild carbonation, very light body and sweet finish. Not enough carbonation.

O/D - Tasted this quite a few times before. Same old stuff. Went down smooth though, and seemd OK for what it was, but overall not really good times with this one.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Samuel Adams Boston Lager glass.

Appearance: Pours a translucent, vary pale yellow color. Has a very small, fizzy head that dissipates almost immediately and leaves no discernible lacing.

Smell: Grainy with a bit of a fruity character to it. Actually better than I was expecting and better smelling than most adjunct lagers.

Taste: Moderately bitter up front. Finishes slightly sweet and a little sour. This beer has almost no flavor and doesn't even really stack up against most American macros. Kind of a let down after a better-than-average smell.

Mouthfeel: Thin, like carbonated water.

Drinkability: This is awful. Yes, it's "drinkable" but would you really want to drink it. I would give it lower marks but it's not overtly offensive just outright flavorless. Skip it...
