Pours a thin head with low retention on a clear light straw colored body.
The aroma is candy corn... not good.
The taste leads with metallic bitterness followed by candy sweetness.
The texture is sticky with moderate carbonation.
Too sweet, not good.

Got this from a friend who brought it directly from Tokyo, Japan. The color was a nice dark brown pushing into black. The head formed up nicely, and faded out over a few minutes. The aroma brought out chocolate, cigarettes and the lightest hint of hops. The taste was just a stronger version of the aroma...roasty, smoky, chocolate. The hops was hard to detect except for the bitterness.

Poured a big, fluffyhead which was slightly chunky. Spotty lacing. A light golden color with some visible carbonation. Decent enough start.
Aroma is of malts with some lager yeast. Not much else.
Taste is very sweet with some faint citrus in there. Decent hops backbone.
Mouthfeel was somewhat dead. Very light and lightly cleansing.
Overall, a drinkable beer and would be decent in a pinch. Nothing to get too excited about, but different than the typical Japanese rice lager.

Purchased by my wife at the local Family Mart, Yomitan, OKinawa...
A - Decent looking pour, two fingers of white head, window pane clear golden pilsner color
S - Sweet malts, and dry grass on the nose
F - Same as the nose except more pronounced; sweet malts in the front, dry hay and citric bitterness in the rear
M - lBoasts a refreshing light medium body and small bubble carbonation which leaves a creamy texture
Overall I enjoyed this the more I drank it, better than many of the other "Macro" Japanese offerings. I would suggest you have it when compared to say, Kirin, Orion, Sapporo etc

classic yellow beer here, except i get no off flavors, none of that corn syrup thing, and a pretty solid mouthfeel actually, with lots of carbonation and a very clean finish. bright and bubbly looking sunny colored brew, inch of white foamy head, and for what i assume to be a budget beer in japan, it looks awfully good. fresh grain, a little sweet, pale barley and light crystal malt in this one, with basically no hops. its refreshing because of the feel, but has that mild sweetness throughout. this is the kind of beer that goes good from the can after yard work, or with a spicy fish dinner, just clean refreshing beer that cuts through some big flavors when it is asked to do so. in the american craft beer context its sub par, but in the international lager type world, its ahead of many of its peers. cool to try bu i wouldnt buy it here.

By the pitcher in a karaoke booth in Kagoshima. Clean gold appearance and a billowing white head makes for a classic pils appearance. Not much lacing though. Grassy hop aroma. Flavour doesn't really deliver. Its a bit too sweet and malty, and the promised for grassy bitterness never quite gets into gear. Light body and medium-high carbonation. Disappointing based on looks and smell.

Purchased at my local Seiyu supermarket for 218 yen. Poured into a pint glass.
A: Very clear golden yellow. The half-inch head became a thin film within two minutes of pouring. Sudsy ring around the collar at the half-way mark.
S: Not a whole lot on the nose aside from the expected malt and yeast notes. Very light hop presence.
T: Taste matches the smell in that this would probably qualify as a session beer: very smooth from start to finish. A somewhat dull hop presence at the back of the mouth is balanced by a bit of a carbonated, crystal malt burn at the front. Body becomes breadier as the beer warms.
M: Good carbonated kick with a very clean finish.
D: This is probably my favorite pils produced by a Japanese macro-brewery. I routinely bring a stash of this beer with me to baseball games as it goes down easily and doesn't taste that bad if it warms up a bit.
This beer is also a staple at many restaurants, so it's very easy to find on tap.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin film on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: There are aromas of adjunct and grainy malts in the nose along with some hints of sweetness.
T: The taste has flavors of grainy and adjunct malts. Only a light amount of bitterness is present in the finish.
M: It feels a little more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. The finish leaves your mouth a little dry.
O: This beer isn't that difficult to drink but seems like a hybrid between a pilsener and an adjunct lager.
