Wow. Nice overwhelming lavender smell, slowly spreads through space. Butternut pumpkin colour, darker almost red at top, and nearly yellow down the bottom. Foam tasty, not far from cream or yogurt consistency. Refreshing, thirst suppressing. Microgranules of malt, grains, yeast surprises every single taste bud. This is how every beer should look like. Superb in every sense. Only 5.

Appearance: The beer pours an ugly brown body with a two finger head. It is quite dark for a Hefeweizen.
Smell: The usual sweet malt and wheat aromas associated with the style are present. There are small hints of clove and banana.
Taste: It follows the nose except the banana is hard to find and the clove stands out more. Sweet malt flavors take over in the aftertaste.
Mouth feel: It is medium bodied with a nice carbonation kick, quite refreshing.
Overall: This is a rather bland example of the style but it is certainly passable. With just a tad bit more complexity in the smell and taste, it would even be rather good.

A: Looks like carbonated "weak/cheap" coffee. Totally opaque muddy grey brown coffee, creamy head, too opaque to see any rising carbonation. Very strange for a weissbier.
S: Yeast, sort of typical/average hefeweizen smell, nothing stands out and I would say it's actually toned down relative to the average.
T: This is a 3rd (or 4th, including the Weizenbock) type of Hefeweizen like the Unertl. On the bottle it does say it's a special type, but there aren't enough of them to establish a real category. A bit sour, not a particularly strong flavor, watery, not necessarily bad, but very boring. Grey.
M: A hair astringent, a bit soft with medium body.
O: Unimpressive, uninteresting, relatively sour with nothing substantial beneath that to support it.
