I like Arlin's it's close to my work. A good place to grab lunch once in a while. Have had the Bearcat burger a couple of times. Not bad. Decent beer selection on tap, I feel like it has actually improved over the years. Enjoy the outdoor porch. Nice place to take the edge off.

It's got the the Gaslight District cornered...unless you're willing to go to Fries just up the road (which has its own issues). Pretty "meh." The fried pickles are good though. Great outdoor patio for warmer days... But that has nothing to do with the beer, which is more of a selection than normal on draft, but extremely predictable, and supplemented with a piss-poor bottle selection. They used to have the best bloody mary's in town until Randall left, but Jen might still know how to make them. A good bar...if you're walking.

Came here after they didn't have hopslam at fries. Friday night, so might have been a bigger crowd than during the week. Either way, it was really quite loud. They had live music, which I guess is a good thing, but it was just so loud! Not sure about the crowd...I remember thinking that everyone there seemed boring.
It was nice to find a fairly substantial tap selection, but not very well balanced. Lots of IPAs (and good ones - Two Hearted, 90 Minute, among others), but the only dark beer was guinness. Getting served was not the worst thing ever, at least for me, but it took some of my friends something like 5 minutes to get a beer. Come on, man. The best thing about this bar is the beer selection, which is so-so. I will probably be back, but only because it's about 250 feet from my apartment.

Not much of a beer destination. Atmosphere is more of a neighborhood hangout with some of the more laid back college crowd. Some pool tables and dart boards. Chill for a college bar. More much of a selection here but a decent number of taps. Mostly macro and regular imports but they'll have some Bell's and GLBC and things like that. The bartenders won't know anything but they don't really need to here. A relaxing place to hang with friends and you'll usually find something worth while on tap to drink.

Visited this place for the first time last night. Pretty mellow little bar has a bar upstairs and also downstairs right inside from the biergarten. The selection was about 10-15 taps that had lots of the bigger taps like magic hat, great lakes, bell's, and a few others. There are an additional 10 or so craft bottles, which count as "imports" on the 2.75 import bottle night, so I had a few SN celebration ales (drinking surprisingly well in August).
While this is a better than average bar, I would hit fries about a half mile away for a far better craft selection.

Stopped in here between Kellers and Deweys and I have to say this is pretty much your run of the mill bar. The selection was not terribly impressive and I would have to say that it was 50/50 Macros/common Micros. They did have some great Lakes on tap, but other then that nothing really out this world. Place seemed friendly enough and the crowd was pretty mellow. I dont think I would be heading back here though as the selection of taps seemed to be lacking, but the bottle selection was faitrly decent and featured a good number of imports. Deweys down the street offered a much better selection and its within walking distance.

Arlin's Bar is a nice neighborhood bar in the Gas Light District of Clifton. As you enter you notice the long wooden bar to your right, tin ceilings, and large murals on the walls. The bar continues out the back door, underneath a flat screen TV, to a pleasant beer garden patio. The bar was well decorated for the season and enjoys a nice street ambience. Arlin's has a very comfortable overall atmosphere enjoyed by regulars and newcomers alike.
The beer selection was decent with Guiness, Bass, and Sierra Nevada, as well as the macros, but a local Barrel House ale would be appreciated. A good variety of drink specials throughout the month lead to a 4 to 1 ratio of draft beer drinkers to bottle beer drinkers. With occasional live music and reasonable prices, Arlin's Bar is one to be enjoyed on a regular basis.
