Excellent ballance of floral and citrus, just as advertised. A bit different from the other IPA's so common in Sonoma. More of a Northwest feel. Reminds me of Ninkasi, but less oniony, a bit cleaner.
Standard golden orange, squeaky clean, bright. Aroma of orange peel and blossoms. It's amarillo, centennial and crystal for my money. Flavor is certainly hop forward. Again balance all the way, but finishes with the expected heavy bitterness of an American IPA. Malt is balancing, not really poking out at all, but perfectly supporting.
For me it's as deserving of a try as any IPA out there.

Poured two fingers of head on a clear, amber colored body.
The aroma is grapefruit, orange, and cottage cheese (weird).
The taste has a strong grapefruit and lemon bitterness beginning to end. Nothing subtle about this.
The texture is crisp with soft edges and moderate carbonation.
It's a bit bold on the bitter side without any balance or complexity.

Bottle picked up in Santa Rosa for $3.99.
A: Pours a hazy, light amberish orange with a solid 1" white head which leaves spongy lace.
N: Fragrant grapefruit, citrus and tropical fruits with some sweet malts too.
T: Sweet malts dominate followed by citrus hops. Fairly well balanced.
M: Medium body and carbonation. Usual dry and bitter finish.
O: Not bad for the price. In fact, it is really good. Would have this again.

This poured out as a nice hazy yellowish gold color. The head retention was pretty good, the lacing was decent also. The smell of the beer has a nice hoppy aroma, rather fresh and lively on the nose. The taste of the beer is a little more malty than bitter. The bitterness comes in subtly in the finish. The mouthfeel of the beer was clean and crisp, decent carbonation and drinkable. Overall this beer was nice to try. Not something I'm dying to try again but still a nice little rare treat to have here in the east.
