Poured from a growler into a Great Divide Goblet. 1st growler review.
A: pours an orange/amber with 1 finger of head, nice lacing, low head retention (as I expected)
S: mango and papaya, this is one of the best smelling IPA/DIPAs I've had in a while. Tangy and citrusy, no real sweetness.
T: bitter, tea like as I said in my other review, no real sweet character that I got from the bottled version
M: bitterness lingers and coats the palate, like it should
O: smells better this time around, maybe this keg is fresher than the bottle I had. I like this beer, but it's a wierd IIPA, not malty like I would have expected.
Serving type: growler

Sample at Max's on 7/23/14 (from notes)
A: Lacing and copper colored.
S: Hops, all day.
T: Bitter as hell. Along with pine, that is the taste. I don't usually get this even with some of the other big IPAs out there.
M: Smooth with light carbonation.
O: Unbalanced but hoppy and bitter as hell.
Serving type: on-tap
