Pours a hazy orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and a mild grassy aroma. Taste is much the same with an earthy flavor on the finish and a noticeable alcohol flavor that stands out. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty poor beer that has a weird off flavor that makes it somewhat unpleasant to drink.

Drinkable and forgettable light beer. Faint beery smell but not much of the
hop aroma. Light golden amber in the glass with an attractive head. Sudsy in the mouth, but the body is, you guessed it, extremely light. A glimmer of malty sweetness, and the lack of hops makes it a little insipid, though clean and fairly dry.

There's really nothing wrong with this, it's just a very light Blonde. I sort of like Moylan's description of this as a "California Golden Ale," but then that would have to be a blonde anyway. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Total Wine.

Pours a clear, golden color with a medium white head that disappears quickly. Scent is sweet malt aromas with just a hint of hoppiness. Some grain and fruity aromas as well. Taste is initially sweet...reminiscent to adjunct lager flavors. Grainy and a bit grassy. Extremely low hop bitterness with sweet floral flavors. Mouthfeel is light bodied and somewhat crisp. Drinkability is fairly high. Overall, it's an American blonde. Not really expecting much. This beer is quite underwhelming, but I was expecting that. Very drinkable with not a lot of flavor. A good transition beer for BMC lovers.

Purchased from Whole Foods in Los Altos, CA.

Pours, indeed, a golden colour, but surprisingly hazed, with a filmy white head that forms into a ring. Very light body, and no lacing. Carbonation forms in pleasantly fine bubbles at least. Otherwise, it's a pretty average looking beer.

Nose is wheaty, with a green twinge suggesting grass in the rain. Slight apricot hints to it, but these are mild. Not bad, but all a bit thin and insipid.

Taste is extremely empty. A hint of damp, flat grain around the edges, but otherwise non-existent. It's almost adjuncty in its complete absence of flavour. A very faint, hollow and echoey bitterness at the end, that's almost no different from the bitterness at the back of a sip of soda water. Very poor.

Empty, and bland as hell. An "ale that complements all occasions"? God, you must have a boring life, Moylans.

Pours a somewhat hazy light copper to orange body with golden hues beneath the billowing, cloud like white head that is packed with dense bubbles of vigorous carbonation.

Aromas of faint hops, yeast, and a candy or nutty like sweetness are first noticeable with the malt possessing more of a bread quality throughout the duration of the beer.

The toasty bread-like malt flavors are most prominent followed by some faint noble hops, but the flavor ultimately reverts back to the bread or wheat like malt.

This beer has a lighter body although plenty of flavor and generous carbonation.

As far as blonde ales go, this beer is more on the bread/biscuity side of flavor as mentioned above with some of the milder hop aromas one may expect from a west coast brewery. Not a bad example of the style overall.

Deep gold, small off-white head soon thins to a ring and no lace.

Aroma is apples, toasted white bread, hints of lemon & peppery green leaves, nice and firm, but simple and light.

Taste is nice, light crisp apple sweetness with light bread and hints of leafy-grassy bitterness and lemon. It holds up well to food, and is a very solid, drinkable light ale.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a golden brown color and a cloudy texture. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. OK lacing.

S: A very weak aroma of hops, malt, and grass.

T: Tasted of some hops, malt, and a grassy quality. This last quality is never - in my opinion - a good thing, but the flavor did get better as it went along.

M: A fairly well-carbonated beer with a smooth, dry finish. Light-bodied.

D: This is a mixed bag of a beer. Not undrinkable, but not something I'd readily return to.

Aroma- Crisp and fresh with some biscuit malt, malt sweetness and a bit of floral hops.

Taste- Not what I expected. I was thinking a Scottish ale with the name "Celt ale", but it's listed as an American blond. As an American blond, it's not half bad. A nice melange of maltiness, malt sweetness with a touch of biscuit malt. I was pleasantly surprised.

Mouthfeel is light-medium with a moderate carbonation.
Drinkability- It's okay.

Pour an effervescent straw color with a sliver of cream colored head. Zero head retention & lacing

S: Grassyness & floral hops

T: Follows the nose, light breadyness, some mineral/flinty hop notes as well up front. Some pear notes, dryness & grassyness, plus some some very watery apple notes. Finishes watery with grassy notes

MF: Light bodied, medium carbonation that become prickly as it warms

Drinks okay, hard to believe Moylan's makes such a mediocre beer. Avoid this rubbish

Moylan Celts bomber into goblet

Pours medium orange with golden highlights and perfect clarity. There
is a short lived offwhite head that leaves touches of lacing

Aroma is buttery, biscuit malt, and herbal hop. Not the greatest nose,
but it isn't offensive.

Lots of diacetyl, more biscuit malt, and a touch of malty sweetness. I
find this close to Fat Tire, which I'm not really fond of either.
There is a real light touch of hop bitterness and a light
drying/crispness on the finish.

Mouthfeel is light-medium with a moderate carbonation. Nothing
memorable, but it works with this beer.

Drinking this beer isn't a chore, but I'm not rushing it down either.
I guess this beer just isn't doing it for me. Oh well. I like their
other stuff.

I poured this beer into my tumbler at 45 degrees. The beer was a nice golden ale that did not pour a very impressive or long lasting head. There was a hint of apricot or something. The beer was not bitter and not overly hoppy. I liked the beer and would gladly drink another one one day.

A - Poured out a clear, orange/amber color with an off-white, small, thin head of foam. It left little to no lace.

S - It smelled of malt and grasses with a hint of caramel. There was an odd musty aroma, too.

T - It tasted of sweet caramel with a mild grassy hop presence. Not a lot going on here.

M - It was a little soft and somewhat thin. A light bodied beer.

D - This is an okay blonde ale. It was easy drinking but I wouldn't call it a good value at $4.50 for a 22oz average ale.

22 oz bomber poured into an oversized wineglass. Not much to this beer.

A - Color is amber, good carbonation with a good one finger head retention. There was a bit of sediment floating in the bottom of the glass.

Smell - Rancid smell of machine oil. It was difficult for me to distinguish any flavors. There was a caramel aroma mixed with some herbal aromas.

T - There was not much flavor to this beer. It was a rather flat palate but it did have decent body. No hint of hops. To be fair, I shared this with my wife and she really enjoyed the flavor of this beer; she is just beginning to roam from BMC beers. This could be a good stepping stone beer for those new to craft beers.

M - Again, not much to say about this beer. This beer reminded me of a BMC beer with just a bit better body character.

D - I will not have another, but will probably buy more for my wife.

I don't know what to think of this beer. It's not a blonde for sure. An amber? nah. No idea.
The pour is golden, more orange than yellow and a nice head, for a short while. No lacing, I'm hesitant to score it a 3...could be lower.
No aroma. No "1" score b/c it isn't awful, but there's nothing really. Perhaps some very very weak orange peel. Pale malt?
Taste is flat, but not horrible. It's easy drinking b/c it lacks flavor and complexity. What is this thing? It's like water, a bit thicker. Nothing else. Weird.
