The first thing that really hit me was that attacking aroma. A very deep, very raw pungent piney bouquet. Appears quite flat in the bottle but the beer does give an effortless dense rocky head when poured. Deep slightly reddish golden to the eye .It is thick on the palate but it is still surprisingly balanced despite the sheds full of deep grapefruit. There is also an almost rubbery quality but nothing at all off putting. Chewy in the mouth, very chewy and the malt is very skilfully integrated supporting the hop barrage. Absolutely fantasatic lacing. Like my front window trapped for hours in a blizzard. Colossally potent, robust and ballsy. Certainly at the top end of intensity for a DIPA.
Drinking this was like getting a good pump at the gym. But considering how good it was I expect it will take some time before I hit post exhaustion.
