Poured from a bomber into a large 24oz tulip shaped glass.
A: Dark honey. The beer is not very clear but I was still excited to taste it just by the look.
S: The nose on this brew is hoppyier than some IIPAs I have come across but not at the top of the pack. Malt is evident in the nose as well.
T: Sweet, then malty, then lingering bitterness. The bitterness stays for minutes, not seconds, after your last sip.
M: This is a smooth mouthfeel that is not syrupy. Fairly light considering the potency of this brew.
D: This is a good sipper and I have no desire to session this hearty beer. I am glad to have tried it and I might get it again if the spirit leads me.
