Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Portsmouth goblet.
A - Pours a hazy yellowy orange with a thick, dense two finger cream colored head. Head has good staying power - holding on for a couple of minutes. Leaves ample lacing on the sides of the glass.
S - Lots of citrusy and piney hops. Good caramel malt presence behind the hops...smells really good and well balanced.
T - Nice bite to it...good, sharp bitterness with enough malt to even things out. Malt is caramel with some honey like sweetness in there too. Citrusy, mainly grapefruit hops work well with the malt and make this a very tasty beer.
M - Mouthfeel is very full on this beer. The malt gives it some viscosity and the hops hit hard leaving lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Plenty of carbonation to give this beer a lively feel.
D - For what this beer is, I'm finding it quite drinkable. The bitterness is quite sharp, bordering on harsh - this is limiting the drinkability a little bit, but it is balanced with plenty of malt. I think one 22oz of this is probably enough for a sitting, but it is going down pretty quickly.
