appearance is pretty nice, a decent head, hefty lacing insulating my glass from light and boringness. looks like a liquid penny with little bubbles.
aroma is out of this world. i'm torn here, on one hand, it's hops. lucious heady hops but, pretty much just hops, nothing complicated or intriguing, rather basic. on the other hand, it makes my eyes water over with the thought of drinking such a thing, and i'm forced to rate it highly because i *enjoy* the smell an awful lot.
taste is pretty good, bit bitter, actually. with all that aromaticism, i was expecting something a bit less bitter. this is your typical high hop brew though, loads of hops and malt as the backbone. i really can't say anything special. that said though, it is good, it's enjoyable, i like it.
mouthfee = good. drinkability, well, i'm finishing the bottle and enjoying it.
good stuff, special bring-home beer from when i was out west. i'd get another if i saw it, nice, but, i think there are better double IPAs.

A: Golden orange, translucent, with a white head.
S: Nose is full of fresh orange, citrus peel and mango, and a little tropical fruit, especially papaya.
T: Taste is similar, lots of fresh orange, some grapefruit peel, tropical fruit.
M: Full side of medium bodied and smooth for an IPA.
O: I love the name of this beer… and the nose… and the flavor… and everything else about it. It's an excellent DIPA, not overly harsh, tropically delicious. If you can find it, try it.
