22 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange (yeasty on second pour) with a thin white head that quickly diminishes.

The aroma is sweet sugary malts and melon with a little earthy floral hops.

The flavor is sweet sugary melon with a touch of hops in the finish. It's rather washed out and bland with some metallic and vegetal notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery with low carbonation.

Overall, a little too sweet for me, and not enough hops and a bit bland and off.

22oz bottle here. I read some of the notes about the unruly head, so I handled and poured with this one very delicately. You've gotta be kidding! 90% foam and 10% beer. But, geeeez, what a wonderful aroma lurks underneath the mess. Tangerine and grapefruit along with rock candy and toffee. Pears and apples, raisinbread, and a meadow of wildflowers add to the divine nose. Mouthfeel lacks carbonation(it must be on top), but is medium bodied and has a unique fruity apple hops bite. Taste is well balanced and very complex. Much of the aroma is reflected in the taste, so I will simply say that this is one unique pale ale. Very tasty and equisitely well crafted. Drinkability suffers from having to wait so long for the head to settle. I could have dipped several tablespoons of foam off the top. My imperial pint glass still has enormous globs of lace on the sides 20 minutes after finishing this one off. Looks like the globs are going to crust over that way. How do you rate something that smells and tastes so good, but is such a PITA to drink? Certainly is a unique experience for this reviewer.

Pours dark amber with a good bit of head into my pint glass. Does not have much smell but a hint of hops. Smooth pale ale taste while not crossing the hop-line into an IPA. Very true to style. Very, very drinkable due to its smoothness and low ABV. This would be a great beer to drink with the boys while watching a ball game. Again, a solid brew from Moylans.

Cheers.

Darker gold pour with a rocky white head. Fresh hops, orange-with-pine, grapefruit, and perfume in the aroma. Clean, sharp, hoppy bite with a mix of bread, lemon, and straw/wheat to even it out. Different from the caramel base APA. A not-too-dry finish. Very nice.

22oz bomber poured into an altbier glass.

Pours a nice amber slightly hazy color with some light almond hints. Has a nice fluffy 1 fingered slightly off white head. Nose is bitter, sweet and floral.

Mouthfeel is excellent and full, with a light crisp finish. Has a nice light hoppiness. Although it's got a bit of that homebrew twang to it. Not bad, but it seems a bit off to me.

Tap@Moylans brewpub. Pretty decent stuff. Typical lychee and grapefruit, but never over the top with this beer, good session APA. Slight hop sweetness to start, with some light bitterness. Not challenging, just a nice easy going pint, one of my favourites at Moylans.

A particle filled hazy to murky honey golden colored pale ale with a decent sized off white head that slowly bubbles down leaving a nice lacing a top this beer poured from a 22 oz bomber.

A sweet and yet slightly sour almost sour orange aroma, kinda hard to pinpoint the sources, but in a good way.

The taste as the aftertaste of each drink is dryish above all else with the taste having distinct hops overtones with added undertones of caramel malts, a well balanced tasting beer, slightly weaker than I was hoping for but interesting and very drinkable none the less.

The color is a mildly cloudy dark amber-orange just short of copper. A nearly white, orange-tinged head develops to about half a finger in height. It sticks around as a heavy foam and leaves a ring of lacing along the top and some patching beside.
The nose and flavor offer up an unusual balance of sweetness and hops, almost like candied dried tropical fruits with grapefruit bitterness. There's a strong malty backbone giving up a bit of caramel along with some biscuit. It's very interesting how the hint of candy-like sweetness blends with the citric bitterness and tropical fruits, and floral hops are also present.
The body is medium, and there's enough carbonation, crispness and smoothness to make for a good mouthfeel. The only issue is that it comes off a touch light and a little thin.

Ok, this is a pleasant surprise.
Poured golden amber with a full 3 finger head that very, very slowly melts...lacing remains throughout.
Aroma is an assault of fresh hops....reminisent of Bear Republic's Hop Rod Rye so I suspect the same hops are used.
The taste is definately fresh hops...green and citrus feel bitter. I don't notice the malts, but the balance is so good I think they are in there just to mellow and smooth out the intense hoppiness....it works.
Mouthfeel is creamy and full of tiny carbonation that leaves a smooth thick coating on the tongue.
Aftertaste of grapefruit and citrus peel bitterness with a slight resin hops taste.
Quenching and quaffable.

What a shame. This beer used to be amazing. Bottle says it's bottle conditioned. This beer used to have a healthy layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle. My guess is it's now filtered, although the bottle claims it's bottle conditioned. Down in flames. A shit pale ale.

Pours a cloudy burnt orange with a gigantic white foamy head. This beer has a ton of of carbonation, open slowly and have a rag handy, I had a mess. and has alot of yeast in the bottle. The smell is piney hops and a "bisquity" aroma. The taste is like the smell, full of pine flavord hops, bread yeast, with a creamy feel. The m/f is light and well balanced making this a very well crafted beer that is borderline IPA and very much worth the trouble trying to find it.

This aggressively carbonated beer had a distinct British hop bitteress and a sweetness, that moved back and forth consistent with their wording betweenthe bitterness and the sweetness. And neither was overdone. It was nice and if more complexity, would merit a higher rating.A bit of hop smell, a nice head were also featured.

My local 100 draft place

Got this on draft, it poured a light orange amber with a short white stable head and heavy lace.

Slight citrus hop aroma before your first sip. I. Expected more bitterness but it's not hoppy at all, drinks light.

The mouthfeel is light and crisp I'd drink this on a hot day but generally speaking it's good but nothing special.

Poured a deep dark cloudy copper with a thick and creamy long lasting head.

Had a nice malty buiscuity smell with a bit of fresh lemon and juniper.

Flavor is very balanced with a nice bit of toasty and bready malts and a clean citrus and pine hop quality.

Mouthfeel has a light bit of oily texture with a bit of a dry finish.

Very drinkable and balanced APA. Excellent.

A 22 oz bomber from Capone's.

A: The APA is a hazy orange color, punctuated by some darker brown hints. The head neared a finger on pour but reduces down to a whitish patch in the center of the glass.

S: The nose is malty grains, bread-like with a spritzy citrus hop profile.

T: The taste profile mirrors what I anticipated from the nose. The malt body is firm, not strong but firm, providing a dry grainy flavor that nicely supports the hops. Those hops are citrusy and light but manage to leave a fairly bitter aftertaste.

M: The mouthfeel is light throughout until the bitterness at the end. The low alcohol makes no appearances.

D: Very drinkable with a low abv that won't scare someone away. The fairly restrained hop body might keep you from too many though.

Pours amber with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows resinous pine, grapefruit and green wood. Underneath is faint caramel.
More of the same as flavours: green wood (cedar?), grapefruit. The malt is more pronounced however, with caramel, toffee and bready characters.
Body seems a little syrupy.

22oz bomber into nonic.

Clear deep honey amber hue with a light tan thick and fizzy head that slowly settles to a fuzzy cap.

The aroma has light grain, trace amounts of honey, and some sharp, but not too powerful, hops.

The taste has a little bit of dull grain, and some spicy hops that don't quite do it for me. There is more of a light herb taste than hops. Medium bodied with good carbonation. The finish is the lingering "herb" flavor.

Tap at Barclay’s in Oakland. Body of a pale ale, hopped more like an American IPA without going overboard. slightly musty hop aroma that reminds me of Moonlight’s twist of fate or Drake's IPA (Nugget hops?). extremely unique hop flavor, a sharp/floral/vegetal bitterness combination that reminds me of fresh curry leaves. Good malt backbone without giving me the impression that the finishing gravity was overly high. Nice low alcohol makes it easy to enjoy a few pints. Excellent pale ale for hop heads.
