I haven’t had many of Moylan’s brews but those that I have tried I have been impressed with. Tipperary Pale poured a golden amber color but well within the ‘pale ale’ realms (if not on the lighter side). Very frothy with great head retention and lacing. The smell was hoppy (me likey) with and sweet orange appeal. Some yeast or bready qualities are also noticeable.

The taste is hoppy for a pale but nothing outstanding that non-hop-heads (and you know who you are) wouldn’t like. A little bubbly on the top with a carbonated feel but quickly a hop aroma that mixes well with the malt is noticeable. The malt is not really complex but lighter malt, or maybe a Belgian pale might have been used. A good citrus grapefruit flavor is subtle and the aftertaste has a dry feeling to it.

A good body to boot, overall this was an enjoyable beer. As the beer warmed, more spices were noticeable and the hop become more bitter. Again I have to say Moylan’s makes some good brew.

$3.99 bomber with no apparent dating.
Definitely a boy beer with a very thick and at times almost chunky head. Yellowish gold and mostly clear.
Complex aroma, unfortunately some the fragrances are not so nice. More like off-putting and unfortunately this was also experienced in the taste too, but to a lesser degree.
Fortunately there was some redeeming aromas and tastes as well. Certainly a balanced drink that represents the style.
A rather light beer in feel and drinks quite lightly too.
Really a mixed bag, but overall a disappointment, I'd say.

Moylan’s Tipperary Pale Ale has a medium, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, copper appearance, and some lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet bread, caramel, bread crust, and a bit of a hop zing. Taste is of those elements, with a very mild hop bitterness to close out the sip. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Moylan’s Tipperary Pale Ale finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and easy going. I rate this beer most excellent.
