On tap it pours a bright ember orange with a nice two finger fluffy bone white head.
Smells of fresh cut grass, and loads of pineapple/grapefruit. Touch of a peppery earth note, but wow this smells fresh.
Taste is up front very acidic with lemons and grapefruit. Bitterness is high but is pleasant since its such a fresh tasting beer. Backend has a slight herbal/earthy note that leads into a burnt brown sugar aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated and feels sharp and dry.
Overall, this is a really pleasant freshly hopped beer that really shows why wet hopped ipa's are great. There's a sense of freshness you just don't get elsewhere. A definite try for those loving the wet hopped varieties.

A: Pours a golden orangish color with a small yet tight white foam head with moderate retention. There is moderate lacing down the sides.
S: Ample amounts of citrus and pine hops. There is also some mild caramel malt and a slight whiff of alcohol.
T: Starts off with a bitter resin taste on the palate. Lots of pine at first. In the middle the caramel and white toast comes through providing the necessary balance. On the end, a good balance with some citrus hops coming through.
M: A nicely carboanted medium bodied brew. Leaves a bitter taste on the palate.
O: A really balanced IPA. Provides the necessary bitterness with not a huge amount of alcohol. Certainly worthy of a try.

On tap at the Moylan's brewpub. 7.5% ABV. Clear golden body with a small white cap that takes a while to dissipate. Pretty nice aroma, has a bit of that green-grassy character that wet hop IPAs tend to have along with some nice citrus and floral notes. Malt lends a dry, bready aroma. Surprisingly excellent palate, with big bitterness that's backed up by floral and grapefruit hop flavors. Malt is subdued, dry; body is light but substantial enough to support the hop punch. Biting, lingering finish, very resiny. Really nice stuff.

If you have ever chewed on freshly harvested hops, that is what this beer tastes like. I poured it with about 1" of head and let it sit for about 10 minutes to warm up a bit. Head is ivory and frothy, on top of a light caramel brew, maybe slightly darker in color than the typical IPA. The nose isn't strong, which is not surprising for a fresh-hopped IPA that was kegged on November 16, and not tapped until January 20. Next year, I will make sure to find this brew as soon as it hits the market.
The taste however has not suffered, the hop flavors are well incorporated, green and bitter. Little acidity. The mouthfeel opens brilliantly and ends a little thin, a minor flaw, that may enhance drinkability. The hop character of this brew lingers extensively on the pallete, but it's not so overpowering that I won't have a couple more pints.
