Awful doesn't even begin to describe this. BeerGeeks in Highland had this on tap and it sounded somewhat interesting so I gave it a shot. Bad idea. It doesn't have any barleywine characteristics at all. It smells sour-ish but not in a good way. It was a chore to get through and I didn't even finish it (a true rarity). There was no head at all, very thin mouthfeel, and just not good overall. Honestly, I'm surprised that this is a beer that was released to the public. This beer will make me question any offering from this brewery. After re-reading this review, I realize it sounds harsh, but this beer deserved it. Take it from me and don't bother with this one

On-tap at Sour Fest
A: The pour is a cloudy amber color with no visible carbonation nor head.
S: I don't even have to get the glass to my dace to smell the acetone. Just an overwhelming aroma of nail polish remover, bandaids, and alcohol. There isn't much barleywine aroma or real sourness.
T: Things don't really improve on the palate. The acetone isn't quite as prminent, but it's still definitely there. Vinegar and plastic provide more excellent flavors and there's even a little bit of celery on the finish.
M: Medium in body with a low to medium carbonation.
O: Moylan's must have received some help from Drakes on this beer because there are very few breweries that can produce flavors like this.
