Went here with a bunch of grad. school buddies...

Atmosphere is pretty good. They often have a live band playing and the area is rather large. They have a decent bar if you want to be close to the music as well as a back seating area if you want somewhere a little quieter.

Quality is also decent. Beer was served out of clean glassware and the place just seemed generally well kept. Nothing to complain about here.

Service is pretty hit or miss depending on the waiter/waitress that you get. But in general, people are friendly and they pick up your orders rather quick.

Selection is pretty much what you'd expect from a brewpub. Their own brews plus some stuff from Keegan Ales and Blue Point are what's on tap.

Sweet potato fries is what I remember this place for. Amazing, amazing sweet potato fries. All the rest of their stuff is decent and also rather decently priced. They had a special menu for St. Patrick's day last time I went but you'll almost never order something that you'd categorize is bad or that you'd regret.

Definitely recommended if you're in the area, but nothing to travel out of your way for. If you don't like their brews though, there's always Bobbique directly across the street.

This brewery was okay. Very quiet with not a lot of people inside. I got to talk to the brewmaster/owner and he said that it gets busier in the fall and winter time because in the summertime everyone is out on the lake. This was definitely a brewery/restaurant/bar vibe. Pretty big place with an upstairs and downstairs. The selection was 4 beers on draft. They had a milk stout, a hefeweizen, an ipa, and a copper ale. The stout and wheat beer were both really good but, the other two were not that enjoyable. Not a great brewery but, not a horrible one.

Went here for dinner this evening. Had not been here for a few years, and it seems much the same as the last time I was here, although the neighborhood has grown quite a bit.

Had two beers with a "Three Little Pigs" sausage entree. Their version of Octoberfest was excellent and the chai infused red ale was good. The local, sausage was excellent as well.

Service was good and a football game was on. My score may have been a bit higher if I had hit a hockey night!

This a decent spot to visit on Eastern Long Island. If you are looking for flights and decent bar food then this is worth a visit. The flights tend to have two beers that most would enjoy and the other two tend to be types that beer fans will either love or hate. The crowd tends to be a blend of Gen-Xers and younger folks but the vibe does a lot to replace the gaps left by the service. Every time I have been there the service is ok. Nothing special but if you are just looking for a night out for some decent beer selections and bar food you won't be disappointed.

Walked into Brickhouse after walking out of Hoptron. Much better feel, friendly people. While I did enjoy the beers, they tasted a little generic. I say that even tho I had 4 pints (tried to get taste of other place out of mouth) still 10 times better beer than Blue Point.
The service was excellent, server made me feel special just by being nice. (this is long island)

I will be back!

A - A little dark inside, especially near the bar. The main room is large and wide open. Not sure if there's any other seating area.

Service was great. Attentive bartender that could properly explain each of the beers on-tap. Friendly, and willing to make conversation.

Nice selection of house beers, with good range in styles and abv's. I just so happened to be there on wing night, so the .25 wings made it a no brainer. Prices were very reasonable.

Located right on Main St. in Patchogue, this brew house not only has great homemade beers and other local craft beers, they also have great food. They have a full service bar, a restaurant, and a brewery.
Owned by a member of the same family that started Keegan Ales, they know what they're doing beer wise, sometimes bringing back old styles not often found in your everyday beer distributor.
Food wise they have a great menu, and some great changing specials. Definitely a great place to go for food and a brew. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a hassle, but most of the time you can find a spot in the lot behind the building.

Stopped in for a quiet lunch during a recent trip to LI.

Place is kinda dumpy and smells a bit (yes, I do know it's a brewery). But something smelled a bit off - like dirty socks. Worn around the edges and could use a nice overhaul.

Served at the bar by a very friendly and helpful bartender, but she seemed not to know a ton about the beers - no biggie.

Had a roast beef sammich au jus with jalapenos and cheese that was extremely tasty.

Had a decent English-style IPA, followed up by a forgettable lager then an amazing English style Pale Ale. All beers are well-made and fresh.

I'd come back here again.

A - Was here during the week. It was quiet. I've also been here when bands play live music. Overall not a craft beer vibe, but not a bad place.

Q - All their beers are top notch, easily noted on the chalkboard. That's a plus; you know what styles they have.

Serv - Bartender knows the offerings, can make suggestions, and is attentive. Not a 5 because all beers seem to go into pint glasses.

Sel - Gotta love a place with 10 of their own offerings on tap. Also 2 guest taps. You ar elimited to what they have, but they cover all styles you could think of.

F - Good choices, standard pub\restaurant fare. I've been satisfied with the food, though never wowed by it.

V - Actaully reasonable. Two beers and an app for under $15. That's a win.

I'll be back. Been here a long time ago and the visit today would make me come back sooner.

This is really great place for beer, music, and watching a football game. The appetizers are excellent and plentiful making it a perfect place to watch a football game. The nachos are really good, so are Brickhouse Clams made with Brickhouse Brewery's light ale. I would highly recommend the jambalaya, too. The brews here are excellent, too. Especially, the Dark Star Imperial Stout and the Main Street Coffee Porter. The Coffee porter is a new release and is a first class porter. A slight effervense makes it unique and adds character to this excellent beer. Which has become a favorite of mine. The Brickhouse Brewery serves it in a pint class with a bit of coffee on the rim, giving it a nice kick.

Atmosphere is decent. They had some good band playing but it was so crowded and loud that it was hard to talk to the people I was with. The food was pretty good (we got a bunch of the appetizers) but the beer was pretty bad. You know how there are some brew pubs that brew stuff that's clearly designed to convince people who normally drink BMC that they are now drinking "good beer" but really its nothing special? Yeah, that's this place. The guest taps were better than their beer.

Overall, this isn't a place I would really choose to go to again. I didn't care for the beer very much and I didn't like the atmosphere. Its pretty much an average, unexciting bar. Bobbique across the street is also really, really good so I dunno why anyone would choose the Brick House over Bobbique.

I am going to make this short and sweet.

The beer is ok at best.
The food is better then normal pub grub.
The music is almost always awesome.

One of the main reasons i go here, is because my band plays here a lot. Other then that, i don't tend to visit The Brick House. I know Mark Burford from Bluepoint is the brewmaster here as well, but there is just something about the beer. The atmosphere is what you would expect. The mash and fermenter tanks in the foreground give it a nice touch as well.

Stopped in for lunch on my last day in Patchogue. The Brickhouse Brewery is on main street in downtown Patchogue.

Large red brick building on the corner, pretty old. Big Greeni/Blue signage. Brewing system visible through the large front windows.

Met the greater at the front where bottled beer and other shwag are available for sale. The brewing is being conducted on the left as you walk in. I could smell fresh wort, I think the brewer just finished lautering.

The bar meet you directly. Pretty big, with seating that wraps all the way around. They must have a pretty good following as they have a bunch of mug club mugs hanging around the bar. There's more seating in the dining area in back. Reggae music playing at a nice level for conversation.

The decor is pretty simple, old brick and original signage visible. They have a bunch of signed t-shirts from other breweries on display around the bar area.

I sat in a bar table to the adjacent to the bar as it was full. Above my head was a chalk board that listed the breweries offerings which included: Street Light, A Red, Hurricane Kitty (IPA?) and a oatmeal stout. I ordered the sampler flight of six which included two guest taps from Keegan Ales (a Brown and a Stout)

All the beers were pretty piss poor. The two guest taps were better than the house offerings. The pale honestly made me gag a little. I don't know if their recipes are jacked or if it's the lines but only two beers of that six were drinkable, in a sampler size. I don't understand how anyone could stomach a tall mug!

The chicken sandwich and fries were the only saving grace of this place. The overall vibe was kind of odd. The beer really was awful. Save yourself the time and go across the street to Bobbique, awesome food and out of this world beer!

Big Skip! BOOO!

The Brickhouse Brewery, in Patchogue's up and coming old business district is housed in an old brick store, which lends a wonderful sense of history to the experience. In daylight you can still see the original painted logo on the West wall. Beers are brewed on the premises and the restaurant features a full menu of good quality pub fare at reasonable prices. I like the Waldorf salad and the burgers are generous.

They usually feature around seven of eight beers on tap at all times, including guest taps from bluepoint brewing and Crop Circle and bottles of Keegan Ales, but rarely anything else in terms of guest beers. Most days one can enjoy a Nitroboom Stout, Paul Brown Nut Brown Ale, Boys Red Amber Ale, Street Light Blond and my personal favorite Hurricane Kitty IPA, a very drinkable and tasty offering. They also carry bottles of Keegan Ales "Old Capital" from upstate New York. There's some relationship between Keegan and Brickhouse, though I don't know what it is.

Of course each season brings it's seasonal beers including delicious Blitzen at Christmas, Pumpkin Ale garnished with a spiced sugar rimmed glass in the fall and light but strong beer called Summer Buzz...well you know when that happens. I especially loved the Belgian Tripel they make from time to time. Yeasty, malty and quite addictive; at eight percent alcohol, better hand over the keys to someone if you have a couple of these. The beers are all of good quality.

Brickhouse's service is always casual and friendly. There's some musicical entertainment almost every night of the week and specials too. If you like beer and pub food it's always a solid good time.

I went to this place when a few college friends came home for the holidays. The main bar area is a typical sports bar atmosphere. There was a hugh chalk board with all the beers and their specs. I ate in the dinning area upstairs which was nice and clean but kinda decorated like my grand mothers living room. Considering it was bar food, I was pleasently surprised and enjoyed my meal alot. Their beer selection was smaller then I anticipated, a couple of blue points and keegan(which the waiter lead me to believe is their house brand). After a good amount of food and beer I decided to buy something out of their growler fridge. The prices were decent on everything and if your in the area I would deffinately stop by and try it out for yourself.

I visited this brewpub after a wedding on the north fork. The next day of course.

We drove into town and found the place real easy with good parking in a large municipal lot.
Walking in the brewing equipment is to your left, bathrooms to your right and a cooler with growlers to go stares you in the face.

We walk past a rectangular bar with about 15-18 stools and continue into a smaller dining room area to have lunch. It looks like they have a mug club.

Typical pub atmosphere, some flat screen TVs, sports and beer paraphenalia on the walls.

Menu of food is typical pub grub, all meals were pretty solid, but not outstanding. the beer menu was four house beers, two Blue Points, and some Keegan brews. I went with a house beer and found it decent. I will be reviewing it on site later from my notes. The beer styles were all average brewpub styles, nothing to wow you or anything particularly for beer geeks.
My friend had the IPA and it was fairly hoppy.

Ovearll the place was easy to find, clean and decently priced and had good but not great beer. Not a bad find if in the area, but I wouldnt drive there for a solo trip specificially.

Brickhouse is a really nice brewpub for food. I am not the hugest fan of their beers. I am told they are brewed to authentic german methods.... which I guess does not work well for my palate. Brickhouse most certainly is a wonderful place to order wings for football lazy days! They really make incredible wings. Everytime I have gone there I have always been delighted with the food and service. I generally stick to the Blue Point beers and Keegan ales when I am drinking beer there. Nice place to visit and a great 1 2 punch with Bobbiques right across the street.

Walked into a quiet scene in the middle of a beautiful day. Wannabe thugs with shamrock tattoos on their necks and tilted caps and the man with a frog hat on were at the bar, and there was the little ballerina princess running around in her pink tutu. Maybe it was her birthday. The large chalkboard lists everything that is available on-tap. Selection was decent enough, but it would have been nice to have the stout available as it just went off recently I think. I had the Double Pilsner and an IPA if I remember right. They were nice enough. Service was attentive. The only gripe I really would have is with the food. It was pretty average. Ordered an appetizer portion of mussels and I think there were at least 40 mussels to the dish! The problem was that they weren't very good. They could easy cut down the portion by two-thirds and get better mussels to serve. Regardless. This is a pretty decent spot that I'd imagine would be interesting at night.

I've only been twice.

The last time was open blues night. After a few ambers my friends convinced me to get up on stage, so I blew the house down with "Whipping Post" I've got a set of lungs, but no one willing to pay me for them, They all cheered pretty damn loud when I was done though.

LOL

Anyway, this is about the Brickhouse, not me.

It's an oasis of beerdom in a land of sangria.

The bar is great with many well crafted homemade brews and a selection of brews on tap from local Blue Point Brewery.

The food is what you would expect from such an establishment: nothing to write home about but nothing you would spit out and demand your $$ back for!!!

If you're on the South shore of Middle Suffolk County for any reason, take a turn at this establishment, I doubt you would be disappoiinted.

She set an example of what NH places call customer service. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable. There are a good selection of local beers and the food is outstanding. You must try the cheeseburger soup! The place is really easy to find and very clean appearance to it.I cant say enough good things about the place and they even have there own beer club. I hope to see Ann-Marie someday open her own place right here in beautiful New Hampshire!

I convinced my lady friend to join me on another beer adventure this past weekend; luckily, it did not disappoint as she even took part in the festivities. While the surrounding area provides nothing to look at, the brewery is almost like a sanctuary in the middle of Patchogue. As soon as I walked into the place, I knew it was going to be nice. Had a decent bar with predominant microbrew taps: beers that are brewed at the brick house as well as two local brews from Blue Point Brewery down the street. The atmosphere seemed like it was a nice, chill kind of place that would get festive as the night wore on. My girlfriend and I hung out at the bar for a little bit, absorbing the kind atmosphere as we waited for a table. There was an upstairs as well as a back room that was secluded from the more trafficked bar area, which provided a nice, cozy feeling for an overall nice night out. The food was pretty exceptional and the prices were very reasonable. I had the Brewmasters burger which was very good and the brick house fries were also fairly tasty. Another perk is they have beer to go if you are so inclined and they will fill up your growler when you return. They pretty much ahd all their beers on tap for sale to go in a nice, Brick House growler. Overall, I cannot wait to go back, try some new brews, and know I can bring my girlfriend here and she will also enjoy it!

Located in an historic brick structure on Main St. in Patchogue. There is an entry foyer when you first walk in, then you come out directly at the end of the bar. There is also a staircase that leads to a dining area upstairs. A nice big blackboard displays current selections with descriptions, ABV, etc. Roughly 10 of their own brews plus a couple of Blue Points, a couple Keegan Ales (Mother's Milk, Old Capital). There are also a couple macros (Bud, Bud light). Large square shaped bar, mug club glasses hanging above and old cigar labels stuck on some pillars (from the ol' days before the ban). A smaller back dining room also leads out back to a really impressive hop garden open in summer. Lew Bryson quoted this as "the hoppiest hop garden I've ever seen in an American brewpub". Beers are good, though they don't rotate many seasonals here. Maybe one or two every few months. Its OK though because their standards are all solid. Crowd is usually diverse and they often have live music. Bartenders are friendly and the food is pretty good, if not typical pub fare (the chicken fingers are good, I gotta say). Despite rising competition in this beer-rich town, Brickhouse has a solid and loyal following and continues to make great beer. I like this place.

Located on Main Street in Patchogue, directly across the street from Bobbique.

A very old brick structure with an entranceway foyer where a pretty girl greets you. There is a cooler with growlers to go and a display with Brickhouse paraphenalia to buy.

The first floor features a long two sided bar with plenty of seating. The bar seems a bit run down though and could use some updating. There are also tables in the bar area. A large blackboard indicates what is on tap with descriptions of each beer, their OG and ABV.

There is restaurant seating in a partitioned section in the rear of the premises. There is also a really nice upstairs setup. It is available for parties, complete with authentic brick walls and a separate bar.

There is usually four or five Brickhouse beers on tap along with a couple of Blue Points and one or two macros.

The food is standard fare - nothing too exciting. Also a big live music venue. They do have wi-fi though so you can review as you drink.
