Poured a clear golden body with one finger of bubbly white head that receded in about 3 minutes. A perfect example of the style in appearance, quite nice. Scents of floral Noble hops, very perfume-like with an aroma of jasmine and orange, German malt with some light honey aromas, some very light herbal hops and light grainy malt touches on the finish. Overall impression of aroma is of a very crisp, clean, delicate aroma that is quite pleasant, though rather muted. Flavor begins lightly sweet with light Noble hop flavors, pleasantly sweet honey-like malt and a light bit of grain husk. Middle is medium dry with the same flavors present, but with more herbal Noble hop flavors. Finish continues this same flavor profile. Aftertaste is dry with notes of floral and herbal Noble hops and bitter grain husk. Overall impression of flavor is of a crisp, dry, clean, simple lager. Not a flavor rich beer, but flavorful and rather pleasant. Mouthfeel is light bodied with high, effervescent carbonation and a drying feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a classic lager, true to style. Overall is is a good lager. It is simple, crisp, flavorful and clean. Not the best by any definition, but very good, with a nice flavor and aroma, and a classic mouthfeel. Quite nice. (1,273 characters)

I had this yesterday and I remember to be quite bland. Grainy nose with some Diacetyl as would be expected in a Czech Pilsener, but without any hops whatsoever. Did not like drinking it, but there were no apparent faults either. (228 characters)

Pours a perfectly clear golden colour with a billowy white head that settles to a tiny cap, leaving some lacing. They make it very clear on the label that this uses exclusively German malts and hops and by the look of it, they intend this beer to be 'by the book.'

It's quite sweet on the nose, with clean pils malts and no noticeable skunk or sulphur. There's also no noticeable hops, but it's still very appealing and to style.

I was a bit too nonchalant with my pour, and it seems there wasn't all that much carbonation to begin with because most of the carbonation is gone. For a 4.8% beer there's isn't as much body as I'd hoped, and it comes across as watered down. It's not unpleasant, just boring, and I wish it had some hop character to brighten it up. Bitterness however is in balance.

A great start that went absolutely nowhere. Commit to the style, add some hop character, make it crisp, and I think this could be quite a decent beer. (955 characters)

Pours clear and gold with a fluffy white head.

Smells slightly malty

Taste- Not much there. Some malts and grain. A little bit of sweetness.

Mouthfeel- Light, a little watery.

Overall- Better than Hite, Cass, and Cafri thats for sure. Not great though. (256 characters)

Pours two fingers of head on a clear golden colored body. Live up to the name.
The aroma is not great: metallic and ricey.
The taste has a smooth sweetness and balanced pretty well with the mildest lemon bitterness.
The texture is crisp with soft edges.
It's not bursting with flavor, but its not bad (aside from the smell). (324 characters)

A: Pale golden color. Forms a fizzy white head that quickly fizzes away. No lacing.

S: Aroma is of faint malts and grains. Brown rice. And just a hint of earthy hops.

T: Taste is thin, but at least there is a something there and it's not digesting. Very mild caramel malts, brown rice, kraft paper. Quick, clean finish.

M: Light bodied. Medium carbonation. No bitterness.

O: Purchased this one along with a Hite Ice Point to go with a Korean meal I was making. Figured if I was going through the trouble to cook Korean, I might as well drink it well (and didn't feel like going the shochu route). While this is not a terribly impressive beer, it was certainly the better of the two. (690 characters)

This beer is very simple in a very bad way.

The flavor is somehow simultaneously sweet and bland. This beer tastes very grainy and watered down. This isn't something that I would purchase again or think to grab when i just wanted something to enjoy. It probably goes well with korean food but as a stand alone it's really disappointing . (338 characters)

A: Pale, gold color, clear, and with a thin white head that faded quickly, leaving no lacing.

S: Cut hay, dried grain.

T: Mild malty sweetness at first, then faint grainy notes in the middle before a slightly bitter finish. Very uncomplicated flavor, and almost watered-down taste overall

M: Moist, but with only average carbonation.

O: This is not a drain pour, but it isn't good. The only thing it's good for is cooling off the heat of hot, spicy Korean food. (465 characters)

Had this clear, light gold beer with Korean food on an absolutely steaming hot New York City night and it did the trick. It has a small white head that settles slowly, minimal lacing, a bready sweet malt aroma, and a hint of floral hops.

The flavor is much the same; on the sweet side, a bit of caramel and bread character to the malt, drying up pretty well in the finish; some light floral hopping; reminds me of a generic German Helles-style beer. Low bitterness and not much of an aftertaste.

Light bodied with medium carbonation; a little bit watery. Very easy to drink and good to wash down the intensely flavored Korean dishes. (635 characters)

Served in a bottle at Han Bat in New York, NY

A: Pours a crystal clear pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a half finger tall off-white fizzy head that reduces to thin patches and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. No lacing is observed.

S: There is a light presence of grain malts in the smell of this beer with some lighter hints of corn.

T: Follows the smell, the flavor is dominated by the grain malts. No bitterness or hops can be detected.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Easy to drink, very refreshing, and definitely sessionable. Not a bad beer and certainly one I would get again when I'm out for Korean food. (696 characters)

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and poured with a small white head that quickly died down and left a bit of lacing on the surface.
S: There are light aromas of grainy hops in the nose.
T: Similar to the taste, the beer has flavors of bready and grainy malts along with some hints of malty sweetness.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate with a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is very easy to drink. I wouldn’t consider it to be a standalone beer, but it goes well with spicy Korean food. (523 characters)

Had this beer in a sushi place in Orange, CA. A 22 oz bottle poured into a normal tumbler glass.

A- Pale golden, poured a nice thick head with good carbonation and spotty lacing.

S- Light malt and bready tones. Not very complex but a good match for the beer.

T- Malty and bready. Nothing special though.

M- Thin in body, but good carbonation and finishes smooth.

O- Never seen this beer before at a sushi place, awesome I got to try it. It was tasty and a good alternative to the usual Asahi and Kirin. (507 characters)

Spent a week in Seoul enjoying the local sights and tastes. The Korean barbecue I found to be excellent, The local brews somewhat less so. The one standout of the locals that I tried was this one. OB Golden Lager in the sixteen ounce can was around two dollars US from the 7-11 around the corner from the Park Hyatt.

Poured a rich, clear gold with a short-lived white head. Carbonation was abundant and lasted quite some time.

Smell was slightly grainy some hints of white-toasted bread but overall not at all unpleasant.

Taste was slightly malty sweet, lightly hopped but quite refreshing with no off-putting flavors, clean and crisp about sums it up.

Mouth-feel was as one might expect - that is to say light with abundant carbonation.

Overall best in class for the Korean Macros that I tried. Beat out Hite and Cafri by wide margins. When in Korea, this pairs nicely with the little fried anchovies in sweetened soy... (927 characters)

Poured into a short tumbler. Pours a clear golden with a two fingered, fizzy white head that drops rather quickly. No foam remaining after the drop.

Aromas of earthy hops and grainy malt.

Flavors of earthy hops and grainy malt. Finish is medium with grainy malt and a light bitterness lingering.

Mouthfeel is light, not quite watery, with a nice bitterness and a bit of a prickly carbonation.

Overall, not a bad Korean verson of a pale euro lager. Better than all of the local other offerings I've had in Korea. (523 characters)
