On-tap at Trap Rock Restaurant & Brewery, Berkeley Heights, NJ

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bready and buttery malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste mostly follows the smell, but seems to be more buttery. A slight amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This Munich Helles Lager is very bright and buttery. It is an interesting twist on the style.

Pale golden head, little too much fizz which took up nearly half the glass, one dimensional with a grainy taste reminiscent of macro lagers. Smooth enough and ok with the excellent scallops I had, but the beer was lacking to me, dissapointing.

The standard "please the masses" light offering found at every brew pub... light straw yellow, clean in appearance. Scent brings a touch of honey like sweetness to slightly stale grain, stale grassy hop presence as well. Taste follows suit. Light and bubbly. Fairly straightforward.

The lightest of the regular offerings at the Trap Rock Restaurant and Brewery. And I mean lightest in almost all meanings of that word.

The color is the pale straw you'd find in an American Adjunct Lager, but that light gold is true to this style. The head is white, but it's not creamy as the style guide indicates, but formed of many micro-bubbles.

A sweetish smell from the malts offset by a light grassy hop presence. This is a preview what you're going to get when you take the first sip. These flavors tend to mute as the beer warms up and it can become tiresome to drink after a while despite being very light. It's not that it tires you out, you just kind of get bored with it and you really want to seek out something more entertaining for your palette. Not a bad representation of the style and refreshing when really cold. If you're doing the sample flight at the brew pub make sure you drink this first or it will taste like water compared to many of their other beers.

A - clear yellow
S - very citrusy, faint hops
T - crisp, sweet, citrusy
M - one of the smoothest beers i've had in a long time
O - i don't typically like this style of beer, but definitely respect it for what it is. this particular brew was beyond my expectations

It is clear, pale straw in color with a delicate hop aroma and not much of a head. There body is relatively thin and it is slight grainy. It finishes crisp and clean with an appetizing bitterness. A great way to start the meal or warm up the palate. Not their best beer, but it is quite drinkable.

A straw colored brew with a little covering of bubbles on top. A very toned down nose of bready cereal and grain.

Very strong carbonation goes beyond crisp with the mouthfeel, but not to the point where it hurts the beer. It is mostly grainy with some sweet citrus notes. IT really is a bit shy on flavor, but it is a decent drinker.

I had this beer tonight after coming in to the restaurant out of the heat. The texture and carbonation was light, and there was a fresh smell coming off the top.

This beer has a nice sweetness to it. I pick up bubblegum in the background. There was a little bit of wheat in the front of each sip.

This was a great beer for a warm evening.
