My boss from work decided to take us out, and the vote of location ended up here.
Appearance: Got it with a finger's worth of creamy head that both retained and laced exceptionally well. The body is a deep chestnut brown that shows nice steady carbonation. A little more head and it would be perfect.
Smell: A mild musty nut smell that is done exceptionally well with an underlying cherry, toffee malt and a underlying coffee scent. Decently strong, it's just the must makes me raise an eyebrow.
Taste: I'm not normally a fan of nuttier browns, usually because they supplement the bitter aspect too much, but this one is done very well, as a mildly dry almond and walnut taste permeates the entire beer. Starts with a very mild toffee taste with fruity notes that turns to an excellent blend of light coffee, berries, more sweet malt and light chocolate before a gentle touch of hops adds to an experience, of which you must have more. It is only the oddness of the nut taste that stops it from the perfect score.
Mouthfeel: Just dry enough, as that nutty taste really holds the rest of the beer in check. The carbonation serves the entire beer well and offers very pleasing creaminess. The aftertaste though doesn't stick around, leaving you longing for it.
Drinkability: Goes down easy, a bit dry but still refreshing and medium bodied so it isn't something you drink all night. Still this went great with my meal. I wanted to try more beers from this place, but I had to have another.
Final Thoughts: The best kept secret in Burlington methinks as this beer simply blows my mind. I'm tempted to go back and see if I can pickup a few bottles. If you are in Burlington, I would highly recommend swinging by for this one.

Their best offering. Mild and fresh use of Roast and nuts. Alcohol under 5%, a brown something between an American or British. Roast in aroma. Lace in dark brown appearance. Coffee mid-sip. Not overally hopped, but balance, and a moderate complexity.
