Thanks to my sister for getting this for me for my birthday.

A: Good god, this beer looks perfect. Brilliantly clear straw body topped with a pure white head comprised of identically sized bubbles.

S: Crisp malt with a bit of hop aroma. Very nice without being too much.

T: Dead on nuts. Exactly what a Czech pils should be. This easily rivals Reality Czech. Again with the crisp biscuit malt but no real hop flavor.

M: Nice and light.

D: Perfectly boring for a daily drinker. I need a sunny day for this.

From Empire State Cellars in Tanger (Riverhead); notes are from 5/29

This pils is a bright, completely transparent orange-gold. The head on top is pillowy and soapy, with a just barely perceptible yellow tint. Lacing is dense, sticking in clumps, then patches, as the head sustains its full finger's height.
The aroma is lightly spicy with soft sweetness of ripe white fruits, a touch of grains, and a bit of tart green apple off some creaminess.
The flavor is more varied. It's both sweet and husky with a hint of earth, some grains, a light touch of grass and very light herbal bitterness. A little dryness eases into the flavor's finish.
Overall, it's semi-sweet in a body that straddles the line between light and medium all the way. Crisp and bright, it moves gently into a semi-dry finish.

Had on tap at Whole Foods on Columbus Circle in NYC.

A: Served in a pint glass, the beer was a hazy golden color with a small white head on top. Not much retention or lacing.

S: Very light citrus and lemony aromas with some grainy malt and some bready sweetness.

T: Some sweet bready/grainy malt upfront which transitions to some light citrus and lemon.

M: Light to medium bodied, very crisp and easy drinking.

O: Took a shot on a brewery I had never heard of, and it paid off. It isn't mind blowing, but definitely a solid beer that I could drink all the time.

Very enjoyable beer that tasted better poured than from the can. The pilsner malt flavor wasn't over bearing or too strong as is the case with most pilsners. It was a well balanced beer. There was little to no hop aroma or flavor. It was very light in color and taste.

Yes, yet another can courtesy of the creator of the canquest, woodychandler. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of grains, malts, a touch of sweetness. Taste is crisp, malts, grains, a touch of bitterness at the finish, easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an easy drinking, refreshing beer.

I had out of a 12 ounce bottle. It was gold in color, basically clear with some bubbles and a limited head. Couldn't really get a read on the scent.

Like the scent, it had a limited taste. It had some maltiness to it, but not that nice biting sourness that I like from a Czech Pils. Lacks a bitterness to it. Very...meh.

A: The beer is clear light yellow in color and has some hints of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that died down and left only a ring of bubbles on the surface around the edge of the glass.
S: There are moderate aromas of bready and grainy malts in the nose.
T: The initial taste has flavors of soapiness and bready malts with some notes of sweetness while flavors of grainy malts become more noticeable towards the finish. The graininess and soapiness begins to disappear as the beer warms up and is replaced with more sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer becomes a lot more drinkable as it warms up and bready malts dominate more of the flavor and are accompanied by sweetness.

I had never heard of this brewery before but I really enjoyed the beer when I had it. A very good crisp pilsner quality with a decent aroma and great flavor. Very refreshing; i think I drank it down in about two minutes. Would recommend this one if you can find it.

Had on tap at the Lark; pours clear yellow with a 1/2 inch foamy white head; smells of malt and faint yeast, with a typical pilsner odor that's not exciting and really just smells like beer.

Tastes of roasted malt, yeast, light grains and some very faint hops. Very light and crisp, with mild flavor and good lacing. A middle of the road to above average pilsner that fits in the pilsner category well. Easy to drink, just a bit boring as far as flavor goes for my liking.

From a growler fill from Brazen Head. Pours a light straw color with small sized head. Smells slightly floral with a bit of banana action. Very light body with lingering carmel-ish sweetness. Hops not really assertive enough on this one for my liking, and the resulting is a fairly tired beer. Not the best Kelso style around.
