A: The beer is hazy golden yellowish orange in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with just a few bubbles on the surface and around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of funkiness and sourness are present in the nose, similar to what you would expect from a gueuze. It is definitely an acquired smell and not for the faint at heart.
T: The taste starts out sour but then light notes of brandy become noticeable. Faint bits of sweetness are present in the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a low amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is interesting, but it seems like it would have had more complexity and contrasting flavors if the brandy was more prominent.

A: Pours a hazy golden orange in color with a very light amount of active visible carbonation slowly rising from the bottom of the glass and some faint burnt orange highlights. The beer has a very thin (less than 1/8 finger) sudsy light beige head that quickly reduces to a thin ring of medium sized bubbles at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of brett sourness and funkiness with just the ever slightest hint of brandy.
T: Upfront there a light amount of lemon/citrus and light fruits which is quickly overtaken by the light to moderate amount of brett tartness and just a touch of funkiness. The brandy becomes apparent (though lightly so) towards the finish imparting a light amount of sweetness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with light amounts of carbonation. Hints of dryness in the finish. Slightly watery.
O: I found this one to be quite interesting, not a lot of the classic saison flavors/aromas coming through as I would describe it as more of a wild ale and the brandy aging adds just a touch of something different to it - I really like brandy barrel aged beers and I wish there were more brewers doing them. Definitely worth grabbing if you come across it.

Caught wind of this rarity from a buddy (thanks joefuzz) so ran out to get a small growler to check it out. enjoyed from a beer hunter snifter.
a - brew settled a hazy orange in my glass, looked more yellow orange in the growler. thin head of bubbles was gone as the pour settled in the glass. nice ruby maroon highlights.
s - smell boasts brandy and brett. gives a nice sweet tart/smarties vibe. some musty funk from the brett. slight bubblegum saison notes underneath.
t - really comes alive on the flavor profile. smarties with some barnyard funk. the brandy works really well with the brett and they compliment each other to give a nice sweet and sour vibe with some clean crisp funk.
m - a touch watery. clean crispness from the brett.
o - really really nice treat. apparently, this was only produced in a very small batch and i feel fortunate to have gotten the chance to check it out. definitely worthy if you come across it. unique twist...not very saison at all. more sour.
