look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4.5

A - poured a mellow amber, slightly cloudy with very little head.

S - smells of fruits (peaches, pear), sweet caramel, piney hops, slight hint of a rubber smell

T - a very malt heavy ipa with a spice to it.. almost seems like they used belgian yeast for fermentation. taste of pepper, bready, banana, lemon peel, pine, earthy hops, caramel

M - pretty heavy for an ipa, nice and thick. pretty sweet as well so it goes down quite easy. good for a hot day like today :)

O - one of river horse's best beers, way different than hop hazard - lots more unidentifiable flavors! just gotta be careful because they are really tasty and "light" feeling, until you've drank the 4-pack and realize you're walking down the highway naked with a puppy cradled in your arms.

Poured from a bottle into a standard pint glass

A - A pretty dark amber, mostly clear save for a little bit of haze.head dissolves quick and leaves thin lacing.
wa
S - Bready and a little peppery, but also a bit boozy on the nose.

T - A lot more malty than I expected. A bit resiny and fruity, with quickly fading hop bitterness. Slight bitterness on the aftertaste. Not very complex but easy drinking. No noticeable alcohol burn.

M - Carbonation is light and mouthfeel is not too weighty. Just right for the style.

Overall - It's inoffensive but doesn't pack a whole lot in flavor complexity. I was expecting something much bigger and bolder.

Pours a clear red amber with an abundant head that has excellent retention.
Aroma, leads with pungent hops, do not pick up maltiness here.
Actually a little sweet caranel maltiness at the start , then you get the hops along with some
pine nuts.
medium to heavier body. Chewy, creamy and dry.
Son-in Law from MS bought this at a family wedding weekend in N.J. Thanks to him.
