Having JUST finished their Wuddermelon Kölsch, I feel CANpelled to CANtinue with CANother of their beers in the furtherCANce of The CANQuest (tm). Need I say more?

From the CAN: "You know you want it".

Well, if it looks anything like the surly hippo with lipstick on the CAN, hard pass! Inna meantime, I Crack!ed open the vent to begin a slow, gentle C-Line Glug. My, didn't it want to foam up! I got two-plus fingers of dense, rocky, foamy, bone-white head with excellent retention for my trouble. Color was a pretty Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity, resulting in a visit from The Gelt Gang of Midas, Croesus & Mammon, all ClANmoring for a taste. Nose had a pronounced bready maltiness & now, I was ready to drink! Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was of honey-drizzled bread dough! 8=O I liked it well enough to simply plow through it. Finish was semi-sweet. This would make for a great Summertime beach-bound cooler-filler! YMMV.

Perfect example of why I like blancs and white ale so much better than blondes. If you go light, then go white all the way. This beer is lost in wheat, cereal, biscuit malt land with grassy earthy and german hops and then mixed with belgian yeast strains and spice. Confusion en masse between belgian tripel, heffe, golden pilsner. Not a fan.

Bought a half keg that was brewed about two months ago and dispensed from direct draft system at 38 Degrees.

Look is a cloudy golden color with white head
Smell is pleasant
Taste is subtle and appropriate for this style with notes of citrus
Feel is medium

Overall I am favorably impressed with this beer, I was looking for summer beer that was a step above typical lagers and would appeal to a wide range of guests. This is a great beer for the style.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a cloudy yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet wheat and grass. The taste is just like the nose.

The lightly hazed yellow colored beer pours out into a shaker pint with a 1 1/2” white head the visibly recedes to a thin layer on the surface and some lacing on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates scattered small patches of lacing.

The aromas include some grainy malts, a bit of lemon, a hint of fruitiness and some grassy hops.

The flavors are much as expected from the nose with the grainy malts, some sweetness, some fruitiness backed up by a very light grassy bitterness.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth with some very fine moderate carbonation. The medium length finish begins as the grainy sweetness recedes into the background to be followed by the lemon tinged fruitiness with both leaving the ending to a very light grassy bitterness.

While not particularly outstanding or really memorable in any way this is a reasonably enjoyable and drinkable beer that would work well as a summer beer to have on hand in the ice chest when entertaining. The relatively low ABV would allow folks to have a few without fear of losing control.
