Found this place when walking around Reggensburg, Germany. It was a warm day and nice to sit outside in a beer garden (best thing about Germany is every city has an outdoor beer garden). The place was right off the Danube river so that was nice. The selection was ok, the prices typical for Germany. The service was slow (but that is expected in Europe) so that was ok. We didn't eat, but the food looked good. The trees were in bloom so pollen kept falling in every ones drink, but a coaster solved that problem and that was ok because it was worth it to be outside and in the sun. Nice place to stop, but nothing to impressive.

This is a beautiful biergarten situated in an elevated area near the bank of the river.

I sampled the Dunkel, Helles, and Hefeweizen. They were all pretty tasty. I don't remember what else they had so it wasn't that expansive of a seletion. We didn't get food but there was a smaller menu of it.

This place was great for the atmosphere, it was relaing and calm. The waitstaff was nice too.

Overall I would say this one is a mus visit. Try it after you go to the getraenkemarkt and but some beers to lounge with in the inselpark.

Over the river Danube on the old packhorse bridge, brings you to this lovelly beergarden, with views back across the river.

It was so sunny and warm (late Sept 2006) that I didn't get to see anything within the buildings, we all stayed outside on a huge circular table (11 of us) and gorged ourselves on the beers and food.

The waitress was very good, waiting for me to get the order and translate for her, although she did have some English, my friends would have struggled to find the right food.

Both the beers I tried were good, the wine was also fine according to a couple of the females in the party.

The food was wholesome, a Pork Knuckle and dupplings with a side salad was my choice, very filling when added to all the beers that I had to drink as well.

The walk across to this place did us good, as did the walk back, please visit if in Regensburg.
