On tap at Dale Bros. Brewery in Upland, CA.
Pours a clear dark orange-brown with a foamy tan head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, chocolate syrup, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with sweet cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, and caramel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast and hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with nice aromas, but the cocoa and caramel qualities are better in the taste.
Serving type: on tap.
