Would have preferred to have this in a different glass, but what can you do? The Chalet's beers are usually served in nonic, so they probably just put them all in the same.

Appearance> Clear, dark amber, lively. I expected a larger head. The head was small, but had good retention and lacing for DAYS.
Smell> fruit, yeast, spice, earth. Classic.
Taste> True to the Belgian farmhouse style. This was complex with hoppy notes, but also refreshing. Lovely clove and pepper hang.
Mouthfeel> exciting... not too bubbly. Full score.
Drinkability> Too drinkable for its strength, I imagine. Hoorah for the start of summer! I hope they keep this one for the rest of the season!

At the source. Served in a slender pint glass. Pale yellow gold, dense pure white head, ok lacing.

Classic saison aroma with citrus, yeasty spices and a touch of dirt.

Taste too is classic. More earthy than expected topped with zesty spiciness. Nice peppery mildly dry finish. The aftertaste fades slowly away with a minor trailing bitterness. Thin bodied lively mouthfeel. Pairs well with food.
