Pours a clear, dark amber coloration with a medium, creamy head. Smells of sweet caramel malt with a hint of toffee and diacetyl. Taste is quite sweet, with dark, bready, caramel malt dominating. Slight notes of toffee, dark fruits, earthy hops and light diacetyl as well. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some caramel/toffee notes in the aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation.
This is somewhat better than their Pale Lager, kinda drinkable, actually. Barely.

500 ml bottle from a small village in Lithuania. The production of the beer was started in 1920s, then started again in 1990s.
Pours darkish amber with foamy slightly tan head and numerous small carbonation bubbles at the sides of the glass, half finger lacing, patchy downsliding lacing. Aroma is sweetish caramel malt, bits of mild roasted, slight, but pleasant alcohol.
Taste is sweetish, but not cloying malt, caramel with significant, but not harsh alcohol. Body is on the heavy side with smooth and strong warming.
Although alcohol can be felt, the beer suprisingly drinkable, it seems to me as one of the better dark and strong lagers around, quite ok for sipping in a cold evening.
