Johnny's gets better every time I visit. The staff is personable and is always willing to shoot the breeze. I enjoyed a Custom Brewcrafters Johnny's Irish Red yesterday while I kicked back and had good conversation with other patrons and the employees. They have a selection of local beers that a lot of bars usually don't carry. Being a big fan of local beer, I make it a point to regular Johnny's to help support the local brewers. Stop in sometime and have a good time. Play a game, sit on the couch, have a black and tan or an Irish Red.

Johnny's is am american version of an Irish pub. It's one of those places that not many people in Rochester have heard of but it definatly has many many local patrons. This pub is located in a older part of town almost on the boarder of Irondequoit.

They dont have a very long list of beers but the beers they carry on tap are good. Of course they have the traditional beers that any Irish pub should have like Guinness and Bass. But they also have Strongbow hard cider on tap which is a rareity for most bars. They also make a mean car bomb.

The crowd is usually more of a middle aged crowd and is very happening around happy hour (especially on Fridays). The people are usually fairly nice and the bartenders are quick to take your order.

The music on the other hand is kind of hit of miss. They like to support local musicans which is always a good thing, but some of those people I wouldn't exactly call them musicans. Although I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion of good music.

Overall it's a good place to meet up w/ some old friends or check out the local music scene and have a few pints in the process.

Johnny's is a great bar. The crowd at Johnny's is as good as it gets. I've been there countless times, and there have never been any problems, just a cool bunch of people having a good time. The staff and patrons are always very friendly and willing to chat. The whole staff knows how to properly pour a Guinness - seriously, it's my drink of choice here and I have never gotten a bad pour. They also make a good Black & Tan, and CB's Johnny's Irish Red is also a good choice. Overall I suppose their beer selection could be better, but they've got enough on tap to keep me happy. Oh yeah, it's only about a 2 minute drive from my house, so if I get too drunk I can walk home. Sweet!
