Pours a light gold color with a short lived head. Aroma of stewed hops and sweet grainy malt. In the taste, pilsner malts, euro like malt and aggressive noble hop bitterness. The hop bite dries out the palate. Medium to light bodied with a dry finish. Overall, a decent euro pils.

11.2 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a small head that reduced to a thin later. It is a golden straw yellow with great clarity and bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Bready cereal malts, grassy noble hops.
Taste: Bready sweet cereal grains followed by noble grassy hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, chewy, medium bodied, mild hop bitterness, and low to medium carbonation.
Overall: Better than most EPL's with none on the skunk aftertaste. I'd have another.

didn't know this was a Palm product when I got it....
pours a corona/dehydrated urine yellow with some bulky thick and sticky foam on top.
healthy, husky pils/cereal aroma...
taste is typical.... pils, but a bit bland and a funky side taste I cannot identify. very weak taste; metallic.
interesting, but not my preferred style. by a long shot. Heineken/stella flavor with low abv....
beautiful label on the bottle, though.... it got me to buy it!

DATE TASTED: November 15, 2013 ... GLASSWARE: Paulaner pokal... OCCASION: just returned from watching LVR's production of All My Sons--legs were broken... APPEARANCE: tawny, straw-golden body--comes across rather faded--with effervescence of various pacing; head is snow white and lacing nicely, like frost on a winter window... AROMA: the punch of Saaz front row and center; bananas and some off-putting wet rag as well...PALATE: soft, light-bodied and swift in its descent; active and bubbly on the tongue, inviting flirtation...TASTE: immediate complex esters arrest the teeth--apple and pear, most notably--while subtle malts work the throat with a woody, pulpish effect; floral, almost perfumy experience, a beer that dances lightly on its feet, yet it finishes with some grainy/rice aftertaste ...OVERALL: as one of the four self-touted "Great Beers of Belgium,," this pilsner has some product potential--over two hundred fifty years of brewing, black and gold foil necktie, a nicely drinkable flow--and delivers with a delicately complex pilsner worthy of a second look...

Pours a pale, clear, light straw color. Rather large head, somewhat chunky in appearance, the color of bleached bones. Retention is fairly good and lacing is pretty damned good for the style.
Smell is the typical, stereotypical, hoppy, rotting fruit and vinegar pilsner smell you get from every megabrew pale, pilsner I've ever had. Decent balance.
Taste is exactly as expected. Hops, that weird, fruit-like note, vinegar, nothing else. Typical BMC style, why-am-I-drinking-this beer. Balance is decent.
Medium bodied, lighter effervescence than others of the style.
If you like what they advertise during sporting events, you'll like this. If you don't, you won't.
