Poured out of a bottle, gift from Brent at The House of Brews. Thanks Brent! Poured into my tulip.

A – Almost perfect clarity on the pour. See through all the way with an almost light apple cider like color. Crisp white head that stayed around as a small cap.

S – Very light floral and grassy herbal scent with a mild grain mixed in.

T – Like the nose this has a very smooth grainy taste to start out with a light fruit qualities. Has some apple and white grape flavors. Herbal hops and touch of bittering mixes in. Has a bit of a funk to it but finishes with a spicy and sweet mix.

M – Light bodied and extremely crisp on the palate. Tingly and bubbly.

O – Pleasant surprise here. I was not expecting much but this beer has a nice light and crisp taste that is extremely refreshing. You can drink this all day long and would make an ass kicking brew on a hot summer day. Bring it on.

On-tap at The Bricks, Ybor City. What a great beer. Perfect looking; replete with flaxen translucent body and a nice cap of white frothy head. It also has a great nose; its sorta grainy and earthy-herbal. Furthering the great theme, it has great taste, specifically for nailing a dry Pils-type beer with rich herbal and mineral notes, and yet is not remotely skunky (and I don't mean light-struck skunkiness, I mean the skunky flavors imparted by certain Continental hops.) I forgot to mention the feel, perhaps because it is merely good and refreshing. I could drink this brew by the boot, yard or party-ball.

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #36 (Jan 2010):

We always get a bit excited when we run into lesser-known lagers of the world. Could it be a diamond in the rough, or a mass-produced regional that never breaks into the big boys' playground?

The crest of lacing on the glass is a beaut--perfect clarity with some active carbonation keeping the head alive. Spicy herbal hop and freshly cut grass malt aroma. Crisp snap over the lightish body. Hints of apple peel, cooked corn (DMS) and a dry, floury bread character all seem to slowly pucker the palate in their own ways. Hops give a sharp bite with a small amount of spicing on the side ... then they quickly fade. Graininess stays and leaves dried hay in the aftertaste.

Tasty enough to get by; a better pick if the pot of mussels is bigger than your head. A stand-up lager that deserves a try, especially among the lager lovers, of course.
