Pretty pilsner. Nice, perfectly white, uneven head. Big bubbles on top and coming from the beer. The beer is light yellow. Solid malty aroma. Very nice. Crisp, but defined taste. Some hops. A teeny tiny bitter. Really a pleasure dance for the mouth. Very drinkable.

A weird little swingtop bottle...

Chill hazed apricot color, slight whitish head. Slightly cheesy skunkish aroma, a bit of fruit to the smell as well. Laces drip down evenly -- like a crimped pie crust. Flavor is a combination of a nutty effect, some bit of oregeno hoppiness and a papery stiffness. Hops are well-defined and well used. A slight bit sulfurous overall, and that reminder of paperiness to my tongue. A little off to my tastes, but not a tasteless Pilsner, at least.

Not really complex, but nice and soft, with slight bitterness, boring, yes, but nice crisp and on the drier side, easily drinkable, but in a good way, its German, so its most always (well most of the time), going to be OK.

The beer pours from the 330ml swing top brown bottle a yellow-orange color and is a bit muzzy with the head smallish and off-white in color with the left over lace a velum like sheet. Nose is musky and somewhat sweet, the start is lightly sweet with the top thin. Finish is modestly acidic and the hops pleasingly spicy and the aftertaste dry, a drinkable beer.

Was a little aprehensive about this beer as I have tried others from the Franz Joseph Sailer Brewery and was less than impressed. But boy was I glad I did. Small (11.2 oz) bottle was slowly poured into an 11.2 oz dimple mug. Built up an incredible cavernouse head, you would have thought this was something from the DeDolle family by the head. Under that pillow of luster was an incredibly light shade of gold....just enough to be naughty.

As I brought it to my nose I noticed a bit of lemon grass, pulled it away for a moment to get another look at that head. Then with a big inhale as if I were 6 again, doing a cannonball into the family pool, I dove in playfully. And vroom! it hit me, defenitely, lemon grass, earthy, alfalfa sprouts. I'd even say organic in flavor, (but Its not). Light & soft as it coats my mouth.

I wish I could get this stuff in a 750 or at the verty least a half litre bottle. There's something about those swing-tops that keeps a full & tight carbonation. Wonderful quaffing beer. Would go great with oysters & scallops. Mmmnnnn. It's stuff like this that keeps me comming back to the Cock & Bull in Sarasota...Kudos

A clear golden beer with a thick, creamy head.

Smell is malty and has some straw notes. There is also a smell here that is best described as a dirty towel.

Taste is also dominated by the vegetable and dirty towel taste. Every sip I take this horrible taste seems to get worse. This is a definate drain pour.

.33L brown glass swing top, no freshness date. Very hazed tan/brown body, lots of visible carbonation. Head is small from the pour, leaving a little layer of foam. Smell is blunt yeast, sweet like strong pretzel dough. Taste is odd and musky, fairly bland, with some bready malt. Not bad, but I wonder how old this beer is, and what it would've tasted like fresh.

The foamy head faded quicly on the very plae golden coor body. The smell is grainy and maybe slightly herbal, with some caramel and some sweetness. This pilsner seemed really hoppier than others. Bitter and herbal, almost aggressive. A little bit of tart, a light hint of caramel. Enjoyable and drinkable. I found myself taking big sips of this beer, although I'm not a pilsner fan. Mouthfeel is very round. Very herbal and dry. You have to eat something while you drink this. It made me really hungry.

Pours a cloudy gold ridden with bits of dark sediment. Nose is super sweet with a strong pine character. Flavor is fairly robust and earthy. Meaty. Woody. Very sugary though. Almost tastes like sugar water. Feel is okay. Almost watered down. Minimal carbonation. Drinkable I guess. But why would you want to? Especially at this price.

Sampled from a flip-top bottle that came in a "Beers of the World" pack at Cosco. Pours a translucent gold, with a thin white head. Aroma is mild, but very herbal. Noble hops and a light cracker-like malt. Flavor begins somewhat malty and slightly sweet, although the malt is subtle. Finish is quite herbal, with a pronounced bitterness. This is definitely one of the more bitter pilsners I've sampled. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp. This is a very interesting beer, and well worth a try.

Straight threes, what can I say. Nothing awful, but nothing earth-shattering either. Medium clear golden when poured, it had a fluffy white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma was of faint grassy hops. Taste is rather short, as in: you drink it, you think what am I tasting, and by the time the question is over, the taste is gone... Not overly carbonated. It had a small malt body with faint grassy notes in the finish. Uses hop extracts.

Appearance: clear, pale yellow color, and a big, fluffy-as-a-cloud head o' foam.
Aroma: delicate, light, perfumey, and a trifle sweet.
Graceful meeting 'pon the lips and tongue, roundly fills the mouth, softly fading.
Hops are pronounced on the palate, and well-appreciated, providing abundant flavoring and over-adequate satisfaction.
Light body, beautiful finish.
Herbal qualities shine through, sip after sip. A delicious elixir, proundly pretty, and happily drunk.
One of the best lagers ever put to my lips!
