Based on notes taken several months ago, brought fresh from Germany. Pour into tulip creates murky pale yellow body under the rich stable white head that sets to a thick bubbly cloth. Aromas and flavors are low in diversity, very inert, neutral and it is hard to pinpoint at any. The nose is mainly bread while the flavor is bready with some vanilla smoothness into it. Moderately carbonated light to medium body. Simple and very sessionable.

Hergestellt und abgefullt fur Hasen-Brau, Augsburg.
A: Dirty straw, lots of fluffy, off-white head.
S: Grassy straw and earth, bread and spicy cloves (not fruity).
T: Earth & cloves, a little bread, citrus in finish.
M: Light to moderate body is slightly creamy. Carbonation is light to moderate.
D: Very drinkable, but it doesn't bring me back for more.

A - A very good looking Hefe, although paler than most. A really full, pale white head which went four fingers deep in my Weizenbier glass; by far the most i've seen from a german hefe. Medium carbonation bubbles and a really nice cloudy goldenrod color with light orange hints
S - Very little to say here; wheat and banana; equally parted; neither very strong; not a bad aroma though.
T - For being a wheat beer, there is very little hint of what you'd expect here. It reminds me more of something like a summer shandy than an actual hefeweizen; fruit flavor (banana and orange) predominates the beginning which slowly fades into a watery end. It leaves you wanting more substance.
M - somewhat empty to be honest; a nice carbonation fizz but overall a little watery.
O - The smell and pour were slightly deceiving; was expecting a much better beer until the first few sips. Certainly a beer my wife would like, but definitely a sub-par german hefe. If you're going to drink 7 or 8 doppelbocks tonight, make this beer number 9 for the sake of hydration.
