The liquid is clear, the colour is red-amber (22 EBC). The two finger head is off-white. It leaves some lacing.

The smell is smooth. Some old-fashioned fruit candy and a slightly British hay hop flavour. Mild bitterness. Dried fruits. Surprisingly strong notes of caramel malts. Hints of paper and black pepper.

The taste is fresh with – again – quite a lot of caramel flavours. Smooth clean bitterness and some dried fruits. Tobacco? Medium body. Some salty hints in the aftertaste as well as some metallic bitter flavours. The metal fades when the beer gets a little warmer. More caramel and a gentle touch of butterscotch in the finish as well as a touch of vegetables.

The carbonation is fresh, the small bubbles are long lived. The liquid is medium smooth and perhaps a bit thick.

A pleasant Märzen with quite a lot of English influences.

The brew is clear amber, an off-white quickly receding head that leaves little lacing and rather small curtains.

Weak malty notes, bread, honey, nuts and orange marmalade.

Starting with brown bread, some cereal, then bitter orange marmalade and grape peel.

Medium low carbonation, soft with a rather small body, a dry finish.

Well crafted, a solid experience, good balance, but nothing really extraordinary.

A: Pours deep amber with a tall off-white compact head that after a long, long time leaves nice lacings.

S: Rich sweet malt, kind of dark-smelling and bready; rye bread. Rich floral hops brings nettles and ripe red apples. There's also bitter hops. In the back the malt brings licorice and chocolate.

T: Very true to the smell, only fainter in some parts. The licorice and the malt, at least in a dry aspect is strong and powerful. Nice.

M: Aftertaste stays forever with nice bitterness. Body is on the fuller side for this style while carbonation is held back.

O: A very nice and malty (no surprises there) Oktoberfest with different malts that make this quite complex but still smooth.
