The colour is pale gold (7 EBC), the liquid clear. The two finger head is off-white and airy; it disappears quickly leaving no lacing.
The smell is malty with bread and some cookies, hints of rye flour. The hops brings mild bitterness and some dried flowers.
The taste is balanced and quite mild. Dried flowers, smooth notes of caramel malt and hints of red berries. Although the beer is brewed just a few weeks back, it feels a bit tired. Ligt to medium body. The aftertaste is conservative with some woody bitter flavours, hints of caramel, salt and rye bread. The finish is salt with some crispbread.
The carbonation is mild to medium, the large bubbles long-lived. The liquid is mid-smooth.
A conservative and mild yet quite well flavoured lager. It is intended to be paired with a wide range of food; Asian, BBQ, and French cuisine. It might work with all of them, however the flavours gets a bit metallic when I drink it together with some Bombay Mix snacks.
