I spent time with my girlfriend's family this year during the holidays, in lovely Lyndhurst, OH...IO.
Chanced upon this place while shopping at Legacy Village.
The interior is very warm, highlighted by several fireplaces and many actual oil lamps scattered throughout the establishment.
The decor is rustic Irish publick house, with central long wooden bar, and various themed dining areas. One, stone castle/church themed and the others pub, and Irish manor themed. Famous Irish knick knacks and famous quotes adorn the walls. European games on several plasmas in the bar and dining areas.
Beer selection is not special. BMC, with Guinness, Sam BL, Blue Moon, Carlsberg, Bottingtons, and Strong Bow Cider on tap. And a few more craft selections in bottles, including a bottle of Chimay Red that I spied.
Food is basic American restaurant fare with some Irish twists. Bangers and mash and Shepard's pie most notably. We just had the Chips with cheese ale sauce, which was very good. It all seemed really good.
Now, this is a chain, so you may say "Freshie, why the big score?". Was it a real Irish pub? No. Does it have a good beer selection? No. However, it was a comfortable place, with great service, a warm and inviting atmosphere, good, if not diverse beer, and good food at a reasonable price.
I wish this chain finds its way to Massachusetts, especially on the South shore where I would welcome it.
