Wow. I had to have this one a second time to fully appreciate it. First time was in the middle of a double-ipa fest and the old taste buds must've been overloaded...
Typical color for a good soild hyper-IPA. Very clear, deep orange, very filtered, an extremely clean appearance. Strong hop nose, with a hint of sweetness. Taste is actually nicely balanced. The malt isn't overwhelming, but just enough to provide the backbone for the hops to stand off of. I actually think I now prefer this one over some other regional, (and more well-known) double IPA's. This one is very easy to drink, and it has good mouthfeel. A worthy brew!

Had it and it was a bit over chilled. First sip is in your face Citra hops with an astringent aftertaste as one would expect with this much hops. Mouthfeel grew as I downed the hopped up elixir. Seemed a bit out of balance malt vs hops. A little more malt would balance this brew. Would order again.
