A: Medium copper color with a fluffy white head. Good retention, but low carbonation visible through the transparent beer.
S: Earthy smelling hops, slightly dank. It has a Simcoe-like smell to it. Low on citrus smells. It has a nice scent to it, but it is below what I'd consider average for an American IPA.
T: Very light on bitterness and hop flavor. I get a lot of biscuity malt flavor and some yeast flavor, but the hops take a back seat. The malt flavor is good, though.
M: The mouthfeel is very weak. It feels too wet, as if the beer was watered down. There's not enough bitterness in the mouth, not enough carbonation, it doesn't fill or tease my palate...it's just underwhelming on all accounts.
O: Overall I was highly unimpressed with the beer. It tastes watered down and incomplete. I thought that a beer company themed in pirates and ships, with a name like High Seas, I would get some bold and full flavors. Instead I got a dingy full of landlubbers. Obviously somebody doesn't run a tight ship, because this cannon is very...very loose.

Had it and it was a bit over chilled. First sip is in your face Citra hops with an astringent aftertaste as one would expect with this much hops. Mouthfeel grew as I downed the hopped up elixir. Seemed a bit out of balance malt vs hops. A little more malt would balance this brew. Would order again.
