12 oz bottle with '07 notch cut into label declaring 9% ABV.
Pours a dark ruby russet yet clear hue, lacking any bubbles rising to the surface topped with a compact frothy khaki headcap leaving slowly dripping lace behind.
Deep spicy caramel nose with nutmeg and cinnamon hints. Lots of cotton candy notes and red apple spice wafer.
First swigs: Spice wafer and lolipop candy sugar and a touch of detectable cinnamon. Fruit aspects of dark cherry and pear with a touch of heat. A husky grain character resounds throughout from start to finish with the cherry.
Feel has a slight cloying sweetness that leaves a lingering doughy dryness aspect. Medium bodied with a cherry 7-Up finish.
Last swigs: A hot Belgian with a dark cherry middle. Seems to have a harsh malt aspect.
Beer is good. Happy big beering.
