12oz bottle into Guinness imperial pint glass
A - Pours a clear light amber with very little head, which thins even more to a ring around the glass
S - Not much of anything off the nose for me; not a criticism as I don't get much but from the hoppiest of beers. A bit of caramel malt if anything.
T - Come close to being *really* good, as it is, still not bad. Malt character up front, very similar to a thinned out Scotch Ale IMO - a bit peaty, with pale malt flavor and a touch of roasted malts as well. The problem is the hop flavor which is there, but a bit too thinned out to add much to the beer. At the end of the palate, I get a hint of what it could have been, but then it's gone. Finish is dry, again indicating that hops were in the boil, but perhaps not in the finish. Could have been better with a touch heavier hop hand.
M - On the thin side, lightly carbonated, but true to the style.
Good, and almost very good. Would like to try on tap to confirm.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Hazy orange appearance and color. Doesn't have a particularly strong smell, but nothing offensive about it. The beer drinks very smoothly, and is a Baltimore staple. Would recommend, but as a safe local standby. There are better beers in Baltimore, but you can't go wrong with this local favorite.

Some slow bubbling activity keeps up a creamy, foamy sort of off-white head to rest at a consistent and well-retained half finger over a bright pale orange brew. Deposits of mixed spots and patches of lacing stick to the glass in a more than moderate quantity.
There seems to be a mix of American and English character here. Earthy and herbal quality mingle with a fairly obvious caramel malt, and there's a certain muskiness as well. There's a fruity element, a bit in the smell and more on the tongue, with a touch of toast and, more in the taste, a hint of citrus.
The body is light, verging on medium, and there's a tea-like quality to the English aspect that I think some attribute to the the mouthfeel but doesn't have quite that kind of impact. It does lack depth to a point, but it's a pretty good mouthfeel overall, bright and crisp and clean.
