Hand pull at Busy Bee in Raleigh
Very nice beer on pull. Mostly they have super big beers on hand pull but this is session hoppy ale and it has a great aroma. Hops come through nicely and temp is enabling this beer to be full bodied while being only 4.5. Just the way I like my ales. Reminds me of England trip last summer.
Give me another and tap this out again

12 oz bottle into a wine glass.

Appearance: Pours a golden color (seriously, it says "gold" on the friggen' label...) The head is a finger high and white in shade. Almost pillowy in texture, it fades away semi-swiftly to reveal a few streaks of lacing on the glass. (3.25)

Smell: Hop notes of earth, orange marmalade, flowers, and apricot blends well with the faint butter and sugar cookie sweetness. I definitely pick up the Cascade hops, that's for sure. It does just enough to differentiate itself from the legion of average blonde/golden ales...but only just. (3.25)

Taste: It initially opens up with a combination of lemon, grapefruit, and marmalade from the gentle hopping. The back end is gently sweet, with just a kiss of diacetyl (and this feature actually rounds it out some). Not complex, but it certainly gets the job done. (3.5)

Mouthfeel: Crisp and dry, just as a beer in this style should be. It seems to be decently substantial for 4.5%, with carbonation staying in the background. (3.5)

Overall: I didn't expect much, but this is fairly solid. There's a good hop/malt balance here, and it seems slightly bigger than it really is. I'd definitely drink this one again - I expected mediocrity and got something pretty good. (3.5)

3.44/5: Solid golden ale, surpassed my expectations
