Riptide White IPA is a beer brewed with a malt body similar to a Belgian style Wit with loads of torrified wheat. It’s hopped like an IPA, but we use a unique blend of Czech Saaz, French Strisselspalt, Calypso, Centennial and Cascade hops to create a big citrus nose and flavor with floral accents. To complete the feel of the wit style, we push the beer through our hopback which is loaded with Spanish sweet orange peel, Curaçao bitter orange peel, coriander, and a generous helping of hops. It’s fermented with a classic Belgian Wit yeast which provides all of the fruity and spicy notes you’d expect. We then blast the tank with our hop cannon which is loaded with Calypso, Strisselspalt, and Citra hops and more orange peel. The beer is then lightly filtered to retain all of the exceptional yeast character.

Light hazy orange. White head.
Smell is clove. Banana. Orange peel. Slight pine. Taste is the same as the smell. The Belgian yeast is balanced with the hops. Feel is medium.

(newbie)
pours with a lot of head. Clear bronze with moderate carbonation. Smells fruity, maybe banana as another reviewer mentioned. Taste is a bit creamy with a wonderful following. So far this is my favorite craft and I live around the corner from Heavy Seas...think I may visit

Pours a hazy golen color with lots of foam on top.
Aroma is of belgian yeast, cloves, and banana. Possibly some other spices in the nose as well but nothing I can quite pick out specifically.
Flavor is hop-forward with an herbal, belgiany, slightly sweet finish.
The aroma is that of a belgian witbier. The flavor is more of a white ipa up front with a witbier finish.
Also, a slightly warmer than I was expecting alcohol feel. Overall, pretty decent beer, but probably not any kind of award-winner.
