Atmosphere: Very cool. 60s rock, Stairway to Heaven greeted me as I came down the stairs... lots of seating, could probably put 200 people in the "beer cellar", more out front. Big kegs serve as tables near the bar. The place is fairly dark, with Christmas lights poking out of the eyes of thousands of little pink elephants on the ceiling... and I'm not even drunk yet! Lots of serving trays from everywhere and signs also dot the ceiling. What I really liked: no smoking!

Quality: A hard task given the selection, but the two beers I had were just fine.

Service: Service at the bar! Friendly bartender was busy but made time to shoot the breeze a bit. When I asked about Texan beers, he told me that he didn't know US beers well, but continued on to tell me why American beers were like sex in a canoe, in a very friendly manner. Also mentioned that Belgians don't drink before noon, so they'll have American beer for breakfast.

Selection: Oh, my, God. 2004 beer guaranteed in stock. They have more, but they promise that many. You know the snotty answers you bite back when the gum chewing waitress says "Oh, we have everything!", you don't have to hold back: order what you want: they have it. Personally I had a Pink Killer (which I, unlike most others, liked) and an Andechser Doppelbock Dunkel (why, because I could!) Odd, they really didn't have many US beers, only about 12, some Anchor, some macros.

Value: A touch high, but I'm happy to pay for the selection.

I think this is my favorite bar in the world. Just a relaxed place. I was sad to drain my mug and face the world again. (1,607 characters)

went in several times, bartenders were nice and friendly even though there was a crowd. They helped me find some off the beat path beers I would not have tried otherwise. (170 characters)

I have to say I really didn't like this place. When visiting Brussels the first time, I avoided it, hearing that it was kind of a tourist trap. This last time, I thought I'd decide for myself.

This place feels crowded even when it isn't. Lots of tables and chairs strewn about and an unpleasant stench in the air. Somewhat claustrophobic feeling.

Service is perfectly fine. No complaints.

I thought the selection was supposed to be massive. I really didn't find too much that I couldn't elsewhere. The lambic selection was only Oud Beersel straight lambic, which was nice, but that was the only lambic. Seemed odd.

This place is probably more appealing for people drinking a lot of different Belgian for novelty's sake, which is fine, of course, just not for me. (766 characters)

This is not a beer bar, it's a frat party. It was hot, crowded, and more effort than it's worth. (Might be different experience during day, midweek.) They may have a lot of beers, but it's not a curated selection. It's just a lot of mediocre (or worse) beers, served large for novelty, with a few gems in they middle. So not worth the hype at all. No food. (356 characters)

Ok, Delirium is good beer and their place is awesome. The only negative is it's always packed. This is probably THE tourist bar in Belgium for those semi-familiar with Belgians. Perhaps on Chirstmas Eve this place might be thinned out a little, but any other time, don't count on it. Hey it's no Hard Rock at least. (319 characters)

Loud and cavernous. Despite it's size, it was packed on the Monday night I was there, with what looked to be college students/young professionals. While the tap selection was better than most of the places I was at in the area, the noise and crowds would keep me away. (268 characters)

I had high hopes on visiting here but was very dissapointed. The 1st 3 beers I asked for where not in stock and many of the 2000 beers claimed are just generic macro lager from different countries. I also drank in the hoppy loft upstairs and while some of the beers i asked for where in stock all 3 where out of date, one by 5 years. There are better beer bars in Brussels Moeder Lambic for example. (400 characters)
